it’s was a rough year for democratic yankee fans. late october to early november was like getting slapped, and then being choke slammed into a woodchipper. praying for someone to take out my least favorite billionaire, and for a world series win in 2025 🥰
sometimes making fanart is getting really upset about how hard shading is and wondering if it's self obsessed to channel that upset into making a post about like. the death of collaborative storytelling in fandom.
like i've made this post before but so much of "reblogs are dying out" are like. so focused on reach and encouragement and YEAH but also like. i feel like there's been a gradual decline of people hopping into the tags or your ask box to be like HEY HERE'S SOME RANDOM IDEAS I HAD FROM YOUR IDEAS and then you'd be like !!!!! WOW I TOO HAVE MORE IDEAS
and like. idk. i think the idea of fandom cringe or insta stalking or something has really made people forget that fandom creativity is purely a social exercise. like no one's making a living off fanart, it's literally just sitting out on the lawn with a sign being like hey have you seen my blorbo. it's not embarrassing to stop and be like hey yeah i HAVE seen them. that's what the sign is for
