(Chapter 5 of EC, look on archive because it has a better layout and also notes but you can look here lmao)
(Also I legit low-key just copy and pasted not sorry)
Early in the morning it wasn't that bad, but as the day progressed it got worse.
Red was barely motivated to get ready for work, mostly pushed by Fell once he woke up to get ready. Even the smell of coffee make him feel even worse.
With a heavy coat on him to make him warmer due to the room feeling so cold, causing him to shiver, Red went down the stairs where Blue and Fell were making breakfast.(1) The smell wasn't bad but.. he felt like he was going to have his head over the trashcan within a millisecond
Papyrus, who was slumped on the couch and sitting next to Error, glanced over at Red and was quite surprised.
"Is that what you are wearing to Hotland, Red?"
Papyrus could see the bucket loads of sweat on Red's face
"Um, yeah... feeling pretty cold.."
Red didn't want to talk as it only made him feel worse. Papyrus just shrugged and continued to talk to Error about who-what-now. It mattered even less to Red when he suddenly he coughed that was disguised as regurgitation, causing him to fall down on the floor and throw up.
Blue ran into the living room because of a thump, thinking that someone had fell off the stairs (wouldn't be the first time) to see Red throwing up.
Papyrus and Error had ceased their conversation, staring at Red unsure of what to do
Red felt slightly better after upchucking all the excess magic that was in his soul, gasping a few times before trying to stand up.
Red was planning on cleaning up the mess he made, immediately going to the kitchen to get paper towles before Blue grabbed his wrist. "Red, you're sick. I'll clean this mess, but you need to go to bed. Fell!"
Fell came in from the kitchen and saw the mess. He immediately knew what to do, going back into the kitchen to turn off the stove and getting a ratty-tatty rag to clean Red up.
After Fell and Red went into their shared bedroom(2), Blue got another rag and some paper towels. He looked at the two on the couch , "You guys finish breakfast. I need to clean this up before it stains."
Papyrus got up, but Error waved his hand in a dismissive manor, "I don't think I can. I ruin cereal, remember?"
Blue rolled his eyes, "you can still help Papyrus. Now shoo, otherwise you'll help me do this."
Taking off Red's heavy coat and throwing it at the laundry pile for later, Red avoided eye contact with Fell. He felt bad for having done that, and now everybody else had to pay the price. Everybody waiting for breakfast, cleaning, and whoever had to fill in his spot when he had to call in sick.
"Why didn't you tell anyone you're sick?"
Red stayed quiet, not even slightly shifting.
