also i am so fascinated with whatever the hell is going on with rebirth zack because exploring that side of him that we never got to see him fully tap into is so fucking good. the pain and the struggle he faces as everything around him has moved on without him (even more so than it did with cloud) and that he's a care taker for the two ppl he loves the most who are still alive on this planet and their lives are resting in his hands. and the weight of knowing he's responsible for their health and safety and knowing aerith has moved on from him (to some degree, at least, is implied) and that anger and rage he has for SOLDIER and Shinra and the betrayal of being lied to his whole life and being used by the government as a pawn to further their motives by manipulating him into believing that was he was doing was good and just. and all he ever wanted to do was be a good person and fight for what's right, and prove to himself and the world that he's worth something.
so anyway i have to sleep now.
