Top Ten Songs of 2012 - Personal Taste!
Stepping on the end of the year, it has become my habit to compile a list of the best all year. This routine was just.... really appealing to me. To begin, let's start by presenting a list of the best from the world of music.
I'll start with the top songs of the year based on my taste, so I'd like to apologize if it turns to be a hippie kind of playlist, let's start the countdown!
10. Kanye West – Mercy (feat. Big Sean, Pusha T & 2 Chainz); For a commitment to constantly giving an ineffable sense of human rhythm.
9. Japandroids – The House Heaven Built; For being the best noisy rock this whole year which reminds me about the real punk spirit.
8. Of Monsters and Men - Little Talks; For its infectious horn-based jumpstart to the conversational and storytelling harmonies of the singers.
7. Payung Teduh – Resah; For the over the top emotional punch through it's innocent lyrics and brilliant melody.
6. Azealia Banks – 212; For being so catchy and rude at the same time that I hated to love it.
5. Passion Pit – Take A Walk; For being the most imaginable tunes of the year which have been continuously made my morning.
4. Frank Ocean – Thinkin Bout You; For genuinely telling the heartbreak through sounds and unashamedly expressing the emotion.
3. The Shins – Simple Song; For the near-perfection indie-pop tune with its hook that stuck in my head.
2. The Lumineers – Ho Hey; For telling about the unrequited love that everyone can relate to through a simple and catchy tunes.
1. The Black Keys – Lonely Boy; For an epic that flows effortlessly every time I'm hearing the beats.
