since you guys are complaining about how everyone just randomly started dragging yall for no reason.... (tho that aint tru but..)
i really doubt that any member of 5sos meant any harm or offense to anyone that may be affected by their "jokes". i truly believe that. and clearly thats what y'all are stanning for. THE THING IS..... whether they tried to OR NOT... they successful hurt a lot of their fanbase that are built up of poc's! yes we are everywhere and we have feelings!! we (as in all of the poc's offended) [probably] know that they were "only joking" but the thing is our society and our world has grown to think it's totally okay to post/say offensive jokes about race/etc and to just think it's funny and if anyone is offended we say "omg it's just a joke calm down" or "they aren't racist so stop" but at a certain point it's literally so exhausting we wake up and we're like "wow nice another white person has effectively taken a shit on my race/culture/etc" even when the person isn't trying to!! it's just still not okay!!! i have no problem with you still loving your fave and being totally ok with it.....(kinda) but it's totally not ok for you to call out on all the poc's that were offended and basically say "you guys are literally so stupid for being offended by these things" or "i dont get why you're so offended like it's a joke just get over it" it's not a joke to us and that's where YOU'RE supposed to stop and say "wow. if they are upset by what they did i should respect them and be considerate of their feelings." put yourself in a poc's shoes and just TRY to live a day when everyone is shitting on something that makes up who you are. thank u for reading.
