This month’s prompt was "Favorite Tropes," so naturally, I had to go with 'there was only one bed' and 'crack treated seriously' because I can't help myself.

I wrote a story where Meruem and Komugi go shopping for a bed at a certain blue-and-yellow furniture store. It sounds a little silly, but I intended for it to also be sweet.

CHIMERA TAROT ZINE

Chimera Tarot

The Chimera Tarot is a fully colored and beautifully illustrated deck of 22 cards, including all the Major Arcana. Created through a collaborative fan project, over 20 artists and tarot enthusiasts have each contributed a card inspired by a different character from Hunter × Hunter’s Chimera Ant Arc.

The resulting deck showcases the artists' diverse styles while providing key information to help make important choices through tarot readings. Designed to offer clarification and guidance on various situations, the Chimera Tarot includes unique spreads tailored to take its cards’ characters into account.

This project is a recreation of already existing content and we claim no ownership over the original material. All artists own their respective works

In creating The Chimera Tarot Deck, the team decided to expand the deck beyond just Meruem and Komugi, including multiple characters featured in the Chimera Ant Arc of Hunter × Hunter. The goal was to provide true representations of each tarot card that would reflect the important themes within the Chimera Ant story, rather than limiting it to a MeruKomu-centric deck.

This deck features a diverse cast of Hunters, Chimera Ants, and Royal Guards, with Komugi and Meruem taking central roles. Each artist has put their own unique interpretation into their assigned card, while still staying true to the original meanings of the tarot. Although not a complete 78-card tarot deck, The Chimera Tarot can be used independently.

Unfortunately I didn't hit my deadline for February's Year of the Ant prompt - my project is too ambitious! I'm still working on it! February's theme was 'romance/dating' for Merukomu. Nothing says 'dating' like strolling arm-in-arm together. 💕
