Heal (for the drabble thingy lets get some softness for these two beans)
Drabble list: OPEN!
Heal: My character will tend to your character’s wounds, or be at their side when they’re sick.
"I never did think you would get a fever." Jacqui teased lightly, setting down a cup of tea by the nightstand. Iris shivered under the blankets, coughing. "From your body heat alone, I thought you were running one."
"It happens, mainly in the-- aachoo--spring time." Iris replied, her usual beautiful voice replaced with a hoarse and nasal. "But I guess there's a first for new things." She weakly grabbed the cup, immediately wrinkling her nose. "What is in this?"
"It's your favorite." Jacqui beamed, looking at the steaming cup. "I added ginger."
Iris's nose crinkled further. She immediately put the cup back down, shaking her head. "Not gonna happen." She gave a wracking cough, her head pulsing.
The specialist rolled her eyes. Always so stubborn. That's how she ended up sick in the first place. Iris had picked Jasmin up from daycare, who had a flu, and now she has it. I don't get sick. Only now Iris was the one acting like a child. "Pretty please, it'll make you better." She said.
"Can't you just cuddle me back to health?" The redhead pouted, grabbing Jacqui's hands. Even while ill, she still had some strength to pull her on the bed. She craned her head under her chin and gasped. "By my scales, you are cold. Mmm, must have." She gave a soft purr to nuzzle her, even as Jacqui scrambled out of her embrace.
"No! Get your germs off of me." she laughed, hands on her shoulders. "You need to drink the tea; I won't kiss you until you're no longer deemed contagious."
Iris grabbed a tissue to blow her nose, softly glaring. "You're no f-f-fun."
A smirk grew on her lips, pressing a kiss to her forehead. "And you are burning up! Drink."
"Fiiiine." The Lin Kuei moaned, taking a small sip. "Thanks for watching me. I knew you had work..."
"Hey, you come first, understand? Plus, I know you'll find a way to make me sick, sooner or later."
Iris and Jacqui shared a soft chuckle.
