it's weird, but someone came up to me tonight and asked me "honey, do you have pink eye?" at church, and the fact that she recognized that it's, you know, my eye, instead of going "OH YOU LOOK LIKE YOU DON"T FEEL WELL" or "OH YOU LOOK TIRED ARE YOU TIRED????" is actually somewhat relieving

"I have chronic allergic conjunctivitis.  So basically, yeah.  Non-contagious pink eye.  Good for the people around me, bad for the sadist in me."

because honestly how hard is it to look and see that I only look like I've been crying on one side of my face
