Parting Souvenier Pt.3>Yeichi>Trial 1.6>ATTN: ALL
“I set my trap, confident in my abilities as an Interoggator, and as a Safeguard. I c-carefully took out all the lights in the station, ensuring survellience would be r-rendered useless, and unspooled the wire snare I had prepared. Awaiting in the darkness, I waited for the train car to arrive, and for the passenger to tangle themselves in the s-snake of wires. T-They were quick to tire out, being so s-surprised, but it was still an ordeal to incapacitate and drag them to the police station, where I had prepped for the... I-interoggation...”
Yeichi paused, quivering at the word.
“S-sorry, I’m not use to... exposing my work like this. I injected him with the serum, and began the line of questioning. It took awhile... and his words were... cryptic. Something about “making a show no one would forget”. Through coaxing, b-both with words and the drill, I recorded who came to mind with this man’s ramblings, which came off as if he was in a t-trance. Firstly, he was hired help, noted by his employee keycard. S-second, it was made apparent he answered to someone in the city-likely another student. The names you found were my d-deductions on who may be involved with the late mystery victim. I-In the end, I lost patience and simply... attempted to remove the helmet he came equipped with, with the power drill. Unfortunately, the mastermind must of implemented a failsafe of their own. The rest...”
Motioning with his hands, the interoggator spit out a puff of air.
“Boom. Everything that came afterward was... rash decisions. It’s p-probably clear now that I’ve never been on clean up c-crew before. Our crowned p-prince demon was up with the explosion, so I h-had to improvise another way up, hence the keycard.”
...
With a murmur, the interoggator continued.
“Unfortunately, after the dust had settled, I was left between a rock and a hard place. The bear made it apparent that a choice was to be made, and...”
With a sigh, Yeichi sullenly glances over to the TV head.
“...”
“T-That’s alright, Tomomi-san. There’s... no one you’ll need to contact when this is over.”
...
“In the end, there was no point in trying to fight it, or else I would’ve failed at my job, too.”
...
“It’s funny, despite t-the threat of this abnormal situation, i-it’s... the most normal I think I’ve ever gotten to f-feel, with you all that is, u-u-um-m...”
Not even noticing his own quivering repose, Yeichi begins to tear up.
“...i-i-it... was nice.”
...
“...well, there’s only one thing left, riiiiiiiight, Karōshi-Kuma~? I’ve heard aaaaaaall about this part.”
With a snicker, the interoggator’s tears dry as quick as his shift. Despite The wild eyes of the student, Yeichi is betrayed by a trembling fist.
