December 20, 2025 - Yellow-legged Thrush (Turdus flavipes) These thrushes are found in and around forests and woodlands and in shade coffee plantations in a scattered range in parts of Uruguay, Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, Guyana, Paraguay, Trinidad and Tobago, and Venezuela. Foraging in trees and rarely on the ground, they feed mainly on fruit, along with some insects. Their nests are shallow cups made from roots, moss, and other plant materials, often mixed with mud, built on rock faces, banks, or in vegetation depending on the area of their range. Females lay clutches of two eggs.
