They're actually my hair clips from the Power Rangers day! 🌟I wanted to wear my sports bra today bc it's sooo comfy, so I'm like, I'll wear a dress that lets the cute detail of the criss-cross straps show! . . ✌️ I'm actually wearing this dress BACKWARDS. Yep, that's right! Who says you "have to" wear something a certain way just because the tag is on that side? 😜 I'll occasionally wear my dresses in different ways because it's fun to experiment and see what you can come up with that works! . . So the back of this dress is currently the front. It's a super drop back, so to make the draping more intentional and less showy, I twisted draped panels from each side up and then held them in place by my shoulders with Bobby pins. I then took the star hair clips and clipped them each to the Bobby pin. This has 2 functions: 1) Hides Bobby pins. 2) Adds a decorative element that frames the criss-cross sports bra I wanted to celebrate! . . Now the extra fabric draped down is still super showy, so I joined a piece from each in the center of my midriff and--yup, you guessed it--clipped on another bling hairclip! . . I have this rhinestone belt that I wear a ton. I clipped it around my lower waist and then pulled the extra draping fabric over to continue its natural cascade over the belt. The effect you end up getting is a little bit of bling right below the hairclip so that the hairclip doesn't seem out of place. The belt also cover the back buttons (because remember, I'm wearing this dress in reverse!). . . So the back of the dress here is normally the front, and the front is normally the back, but I added some quick and easy pinning to temporarily custom it for my body so that it fits my frame and doesn't overwhelm me. It works WITH me. . . #HeartSunglasses from over 10 years ago. Used to have them in every color, but they slowly broke or got lost (or stolen) over the years. #yellowclutch is an old makeup bag from my Mama from the 90s. It gives a needed pop of contrast color to the overall look. #👗 from a thrift store in Norway. #statementbelt from #BCBG. #JackySoStyle 🌈 (at South of Market, San Francisco)
