This is an eggplant in the little raised bed that my chicken Cleo has decided is hers. She's actually not destroying the plants, so I'm more or less letting her have at it. Since I've stopped keeping her out, interesting things are happening. The plants (I think there are two) are both producing a whole new round of flowers, and the one fruit so far is yellow, not the same color at all as the fruits earlier in season. I'm fairly certain Cleo has found a fine stash of insects and is continuing to clean them out. But I'm not sure why the fruit is yellow.
