okay so I just finished the burning maze and?? jesus first off I am in dire need of dark percy, like luke levels like ive seen a lot of posts abt him getting super pissed after Jason and plus idk if it was just me? but piper was very pissed too?? like to Apollo but then she calmed around him but still holy fuck if u have any dark fic recs id be rly grateful !! pls can I have some links? <3

yoo remember the unnamed, from sp, the guy skulduggery called 'mevolent's master' ?? do u have any headcanons about him I wanna know what u think! ^-^

Of course I remember the Unnamed .3. Oh boy, now you opened the flood gates!

But I’m so glad you asked!

I have a lengthy theory post about him here (it’s just random theories I could think of with some even conflicting each other) and you can find all my headcanons involving the Unnamed in his tag on this blog.

Some additional Headcanons:

The Unnamed isn’t entirely human anymore.

He hides his form within a black cloak with a wide hood covering his head. No one but Mevolent has ever seen his face. (The Ring Wraiths from LotR comes pretty close to what I imagine him to look like.)

The Unnamed used to be the head of the Faceless Church and would constantly be traveling from one Church to the other world wide until he took Mevolent as his student.

Mevolent killed the Unnamed at the end of their travels, in a similar fashion a Sith student kills their master to make the next generation on Sith stronger in ‘Star Wars’. (This headcanon is based on Mevolents German fandom wiki entry which states he killed the Unnamed, tho I am unsure if it’s an translation error in the actual German version of the book or if the author of the wiki entry just confused their own headcanons for canon.)

I’m 100% sure the Unnamed was dead or at least not around anymore by the time the Great War started, because Mevolent has the titel ‘Starter of the War’. Pupils don’t start wars, masters do. If the Unnamed was still alive he would bear that titel.

Speaking of wars: based on the painting in the Great Chamber, there was a war prior to the one Mevolent started where the Unnamed made up one of the two or more fractions.

Some extra stuff I believe is VERY unlikely it’s canon, but I like anyways:

The Unnamed is German. This is based on him reminding me of the master of the master from the book ‘Krabat’. (Don’t watch the movie, it ruins the character. The movie is prett bad in general but the book is fantastic!)

Also, I think the German song “Sanctus Benedictus” by ASP describes the relationship between the Unnamed and Mevolent perfectly (Mevs POV).

The Unnamed liked Serpine and told Mevolent the Faceless Ones had send his student Nefarian Serpine as a gift and loyal servant to aid in his quest to allow their gods to return.

The Unnamed is very old, perhaps old enough to date back to Ancient Greek.

The Unnameds blood is tainted. He lost his humanity when he drank the blood/devoured the corpse of a Faceless One. (Speaking of blood, the song “Unsterblich” by Subway To Sally also reminds me of the Unnamed despite it being about vampirism.)

The Unnamed is either an Ancient that betrayed the others of a descendant of an Ancient that stayed loyal to the Faceless Ones.

Not exactly a headcanon, but I enjoy the mental image of the Unnamed and teen!Mevolent fighting as part of Mevolents training and he’s just getting insanely frustrated bc his master keeps beating him without even breaking a sweat.

Conclusion: I can’t wait for more canon information on this guy!
