So, I have a character, who I haven’t strictly revealed yet, who is a harpy, and have spent a good several years trying to figure out how that freaking works.
Like I realize harpies are mythical creatures and don’t have to make 100% anatomical sense, but it will drive me nuts if I can’t get it to work right.
And it all boils down to the legs.
I want her to have lethal, predatory bird feet, but I also want her to be able to sit in a chair and wear pants.
I’m designing my harpy ‘race’ to have very mailable anatomy, so that no two will look much alike, with varying degrees of human and avian features, but she is meant to be more on the human side.
This is the closest I’ve ever gotten, and I’m still not sure. The main reason I'm posting it is cause it looks kinda' rad, and it showcases the complicated way I draw thing that I can't figure out how to draw.
