Honour for Olufunsho Amosun: The ancient town of Ife, Osun State came alive last weekend when Royals, top Government officials and other eminent personalities particularly from the South Western States gathered to uphold the legacies of the Legendary Queen Moremi Ajasoro of the ancient and historical city of Ile-Ife. The event was the official book launch of the Queen Moremi Ajasoro held in honour of Mrs. Olufunsho Amosun, wife of the Executive Governor of Ogun State. The book published by the global heritage Ambassador of Moremi Ajasoro legacies Princess Ronke Ademiluyi, organiser of Africa Fashion Week London and Nigeria, eulogizes the virtues of Queen Moremi Ajasoro, while celebrating the sacrifice the princess made for the people of Yorubaland. The 80-page book, written in both English and Yoruba languages, according to the Ooni of Ife Oba Ogunwusi, “is aimed at reviving our rapidly vanishing history and culture.” Ooni Ogunwusi stated that the attributes of Moremi, exhibited by the wife of the Ogun State governor, Mrs. Olufunsho Amosun compelled him to dedicate the book to her and also proclaim her as the Moremi of Yorubaland.
