still had a good time tho! i haven't seen the pics yet but im sure at least some of them were good. also it was very funny when the three of us showed up and was like "so what exactly is the relationship between your three characters?" (our director had just told him "chaos throuple") and i had to be like "OK SO." and explain the whole thing to him

yentl closed a week ago, and since I've been posting about it so much, I figured I'd share some of my favorite pics taken of me during dress rehearsal

i keep wanting to make posts that are like "rip yentl you wouldve loved [x]" but there are too many things i'd want to make that post about so here is a non-exhaustive list of things that i'd like to introduce yentl (title character of the 1975 play by Leah Napolin and Isaac Bashevis Singer based on Singer's 1962 short story "Yentl the Yeshiva Boy," whom i am playing in a production going up this April) to if i were to pluck her out of her play and into the real world in 2025:

#extremely niche posts for me and me alone #i mean i assume that enough people at least know the streisand movie that this isnt 100% incomprehensible for people reading it #but honestly its been well over a decade since ive seen the film and i dont think all the same things apply #like i could be wrong but i think yentl as written in the play is more queer (both in terms of gender and sexuality) than in the movie #i simply refuse to rewatch the movie until after the show is over bc i dont want to influence my interpretation #yentlposting

i got cast as yentl in a production of yentl (!!!) and tbh i really need to get in a relationship soon before i start falling in love with my costars its so dire
