Penciled In
The Office of the Head of the Department of Magical Law Enforcement Late Morning
Julian sat patiently in the empty office. He didn’t think this was a formal interview, but he dressed like it was one anyway. When the secretary made the appointment for him a week ago, it didn’t seem to be too much of a problem. Harry Potter’s calendar wasn’t empty then, even if this meeting was more of a favor to Oliver than a discussion of Julian’s accomplishments (or lack thereof).
Julian hadn’t cancelled the meeting, though recent events meant that perhaps it wasn’t the best idea to take up an hour of the Head of the DMLE when his children were in danger. It would have been too short notice, though it wouldn’t surprise him if Harry decided to just drop everything entirely. He wasn’t too well acquainted with the Potters enough to really care, but he would drop everything for his brothers if they were the ones in trouble. Though usually Ethan was the one bring trouble upon himself.
He wasn’t sure what convincing enough argument he could make to keep him for more than fifteen minutes; he only had this chance. At the sound of the office door opening behind, Julian glanced over to see if it were really him, or if someone else were coming in to tell him that Harry wasn’t going to be available. If it were the latter, Julian wasn’t going to be begging to reschedule.
