Whisp is getting so big! He was very unhappy about not getting a meal today.
We got some lovely pictures of Whisp while he was basking today.
So, this is Whisp immediately after being taken from his enclosure and half an hour later after being handled and spending time exploring his playpen.
The first half he is visibly nervous. No tongue flicking, not moving. He is laying still, hoping a predator won't notice him. The second half, he is quite content. Long, curious tongue flicks (not too fast, not too slow). He is exploring and relaxed. He is teaching us so much about how to read snake behavior.
Just a snippet of Whisp exploring his enclosure after being out in his playpen for nearly 2 hours. I just thought it was a cute bit of footage.
