[YFJ]: Background up to date. Back in 2011 I became furious about the fact that Swedish-Eritrean journalist Dawit Isaak, had been imprisoned in Eritrean prison for -at that time - a decade. Mr. Isaak along with so many others are still imprisoned and denied to express their opinions, ideas et cetera. Often, as is the case for Dawit Isaak, without a fair trial or even any trial at all... This I found (and always will find), extremely offending and agitating.
So, what could I do - sitting in a remote place as Sweden, I wondered in 2011? At the time Christmas was coming up and I got the idea of having the public writing their "deeper" Xmas wishes on home made Christmas tree decorations. The idea was realized short thereafter and in a collaboration with the Uppsala city Peace museum I put the YFJ-Xmas tree in the Uppsala castle - available for the public. The YFJ was a success and/but the following year, 2012, i decided to seek - and soon enough found myself in - a new collaboration with the Uppsala City Library. The YFJ once again "was a home run", and now I pray to God and my sisters n' brothers around the world that it will be as appreciated this year too. The YFJ has its own Facebook page - please feel free to contribute with any wishes. Just keep in mind that we don't accept any slander towards individuals.
