🌸 日本ありがとう また4月に I wasn't planning to make another post for my Japanese blog after my last one. But here's one extra, I felt it needed something. It has been exactly one week since I landed and it has already been wild. It feels like all the struggles of the exchange once more. Mostly just me having troubles with myself though. I spent the last days in Japan with crazy Finnish people behaving even more crazy than usual. Me and Iivo ended up spacing out over the fact that our exchange is over and fell asleep listening to the repeat of Harry Belafonte's "Banana Boat (Day-O)", yes it was at my request. The exchange was very overwhelming, but mostly in a very good way. It hasn't changed me, I still feel like me, but jesus christ it can mess with your mind a bit (in a good way¿). I'm so glad I went on an exchange this early and could build more than just a functional basis for polishing my japanese. The thought of just being there was proof of me doing better and moving forward towards an interest. Something that I now realize is upmost important for me to live. I do feel like I could've done more, I always do about everything. But with my exchange I can feel satisfaction. Even if I could've studied a lot more, been more active or pursued something else, I'm happy with what I really managed and what results I got. I won the lottery in having a great host family, school, receiving scholarships, winning competitions and friends. Of course it wasn't all golden though. From before day 1 I had issued to deal with and different tiring matters that have kept piling up until now. My kind host-family took me to the airport the last day in magnificent Hiroshima, showed me the garden close to the airport and reserved us a nice place at a nice restaurant. They have really went the extra mile for me and I dare say they've changed a bit as persons as well. The day before that I suprised my japanese teacher in person and was greeted with tears. It's all been fun. I enjoyed the final periods the most where it was overall extremely fun and everything just kept going smoothly. xoxo, Carl #yfu #yfusweden #teretere #IivoDidNothingWrong #ily (at Japan) https://www.instagram.com/p/B7SmmP5AwWd/?igshid=1mwbrzcrrz2o1
