This is my piece for @lily-liegh for the ygoexchange! It was based off of her fic, “I’d Document Every Day I Spent with You” (which is super adorable and precious and I highly recommend it!).
I was debating on a few different scenes, but something about the scene involving the first photo really stuck with me. I hope you like it! (And I may draw a few more scenes from it later, but I wanted to make sure to get this to you before the deadline!)
It’s a terminal Illness fic on darkrebelshipping, so expect tears. ;D
In retrospect this made it look like it’s yuto/ruri... Uh... I didn’t... I can only say that I didn’t notice this until I finished drawing and by then it’s too late to turn back but that’s Ruri delivering Yuto a box of her brother’s things.
Done for @ygoexchange .
Also... I did not draw the paper cranes. These beautiful paper cranes are from HapaMama.

An exploration on Shark becoming Barian, with added sharkbait for feels.
for @sailoranime, my ygoexchange partner! Here is her wonderful Nasch artwork that inspired this fic! Honestly, I spent hours thinking over this piece because while I first wanted to make a joke-fic about how this looks like Shark as Batman, this piece is far too deep. So instead I wrote angsty sharkbait, but still sweet because Yuuma is a beacon of hope ^^
I hope you enjoy it! Thank you for working with me (:
This is my gift for @totemo-chiisai for the @ygoexchange. Super sorry about this being so late coming. This is based on this picture they drew awhile back.
This takes place after Battle City, but before Memory World.
I wasn’t sure what pairings they wanted, so I kept it gen. You can see it as Revolutionshipping if you want.
Let’s get to it.
“Hold on,” Anzu said, looking at the former pharaoh. “I’ll be right back.”
The Other Yugi plopped down in the black leather couch, which squeaked under his weight. Sunlight burst through the window beside him, many shades of blues, purples, oranges, yellows and red filling the sky.
Soft fur brushed against his leg. Purple eyes dropped as a black cat placed its paws against his leg. The sides of his lips pulled up as he picked the cat up, cradling the creature in his arms.
The cat snuggled up in his lap and purred, causing the former pharaoh to grin. A strange, familiar warmth filled him. Maybe cats were tied to his past? Maybe he had one before. He remembered Yugi mentioning something about that.
A pang hit him.
Kemet.
Home.
He needed find his memories to learn more about himself in order to be whole once again; to see his ancient family and loved ones again; be where he belongs.
But...
“What are you doing?” Anzu asked.
He turned. Anzu stood in the door way, brow arched.
“Nothing,” Other Yugi said, sweat dropping down the side of his face. “Uh...”
“Relax,” Anzu said, laughing. “I’m just messing with ya. Kuriboh’s taken a liking to you.”
“Yeah...” Other Yugi trailed off, long look in his purple eyes.
“Something wrong?”
“Nothing,” Other Yugi said, not wanting her to worry.
Brows drew together. She didn’t buy it. Not one bit.
A sigh. “Just reminds me of home. I’m not really sure why. I know the Other Me mentioned something about cats being sacred in Kemet before, but...”
“Oh...” Anzu said, face twisting.
Awhile back, she and Other Yugi went to the museum where he learnt that he was a pharaoh, who sealed his soul away thousands of years ago. The Other Yugi had only scattered pieces about himself. Like the puzzle around his neck. Anzu still couldn’t imagine what that would be like.
“You know, what I said before is still true. No matter where this whole thing takes you, all of us will be by your side. You’re never alone in this.”
The sides of his lips slowly pulled up. “Thanks, Anzu.”
Face lit up. “Any time. Anyways, we probably should get going. The movie starts soon.”
Summary: This wasn’t supposed to be happening. Sayaka was nothing but a peasant, not a hero at all. Princesses didn’t fall in love with servants, much less cowardly ones like her with over-sized foreheads and trembling voices. For @homura-bakura
With each step Sayaka struggled to fill her lungs with air. This couldn’t be happening--it couldn’t, it couldn’t, it couldn’t, it couldn’t.
She told herself that this was just a nightmare, despite the way her chest felt like it was on fire. She told herself that she couldn’t trust her eyesight without her glasses--even when nothing changed as she secured them firmly to the bridge of her nose. She told herself that the injured swan that laid in front of her could be a different one, any lie would do as long as Ruri was alright.
However the last dredges of hope vanished as she caught amethyst eyes all but crying out in pain. It was like having the life drained from her being as Sayaka dropped to her knees in despair.
“No...” Her words were so soft a gentle breeze could have stolen them away. “No, no, no, no...Ruri...” The swan responded to the name by limping closer until Sayaka could scoop her into her arms. From then on she hardly cared to hide the tears as she cradled her friend closer and closer.
“It’s all my fault...all my fault...I didn’t realize that wasn’t the real you fast enough. I’m so sorry,” Another wave of sobs wreaked her body. Sayaka felt like it would tear her into two, but then she deserved it for her failure.
Despite Ruri’s own state though, she lifted her white wings up slowly to dry her tears.
“Look at us. You’re the one hurt and you’re still taking care of me,” A sense of peace came over Sayaka. It didn’t numb her pain completely, but somehow Ruri always managed to make the best of a horrible situation. “You’re always like that--so kind and caring,” She was rambling at this point, not even certain what words were coming out of her mouth. “I guess that’s why I fell in love with you in the first place.”
The minute her confession left her lips, there was a stirring in her soul. The air around the two of them seemed to crackle with magic. Sayaka’s grip around Ruri grew tighter as she looked for the Sorcerer, but when she looked back down at Ruri, a bright light engulfed her form. Right before her eyes, the light grew and shifted until suddenly her Ruri--the one from nights filled with hopes and dreams and laughter--was in her arms now.
“Sayaka...” Now she seemed to be the one on the verge of tears, only in contrast these seemed to be from happiness.
Shook, bliss, confusion, and a thousand other emotions washed over her. She wasn’t even sure she was really breathing. This wasn’t supposed to be happening. She was nothing but a peasant, not a hero at all. Princesses didn’t fall in love with servants, much less cowardly ones like her with over-sized foreheads and trembling voices.
“I’m sorry,” Sayaka mumbled, barely processing everything. “This should be Yuto’s job, or at least someone who deserves your--”
She was cut off by a kiss. Ruri’s lips pressed sweetly against hers, yet for such a simple action, it made her dizzy with pleasure.
“Don’t talk like that, you were the one who saved me.” Ruri let out a small sigh as they pulled apart. “There’s no one else I would want here than you.”
There was so much to say, but at this point Sayaka was unsure if there were enough words in the world to express her feelings. So instead she intertwined her fingers with Ruri’s and leaned forward to communicate all she wanted through this next kiss.
A.N. My contribution for the YGO Exchange, this was based off this piece of hers. It was a very fitting AU for these two ^^
