I love contained themes, I love nice icons, I love aesthetically pleasing colour schemes BUT I don’t think they should influence ANYONE’S opinion on someone. When rping one should focus solely on the writing, because not all people may have the skills, resources or time to make gorgeous graphics and amazing formatted posts, but it doesn’t mean that their writing is any worse. If someone judges other rpers based on their theme or icon, then I personally think that that is just wrong. On the other hand, people who DO have beautiful graphical edits, stunning icons etc. shouldn’t be considered snobbish or egoistical or any shit like that. People can have their personal preferences because everyone is entitled to their own opinion, but sometimes it gets too far. Live and let live, guys.
