Forgive my ignorance but like in some other languages can Yiddish terms on endearment meant for people be used on animals? Like you can call an animal sweetie or call it a baby. Could you call an animal bubelah or would this be strange? Are there Yiddish words I can use instead? Asking for fiction. The idea would be someone referring to the small animal that they see on their deck every morning while they have coffee.
