See Through || Daehyun & Mark
It wasn’t his true wish to leave the house late at night to go to the nearest grocery shop which happened to be exactly three kilometers away. He caught a taxi on the way to the city, not bothering to choose the fastest way - lately, it took Daehyun a lot of energy to teleport, leaving him with weak knees and shaking hands, but tonight, he felt like he’d need this strength for something bigger.
It’s been a while since the taxi left, and Daehyun bit on his bottom lip in disbelief. His tingling feels couldn’t lie! Something was going to happen, someone was in a danger, and even though Daehyun was frankly surprised to feel it - he wasn’t a superhero on the first place, it wasn’t his golden rule to rush and save random people here and there. He usually barely gave a fuck if it wasn’t about his family, but this time, the call was just as strong. The Moon was leading him here, and he never doubted her.
"But what the hell, actually?" Standing in the middle of nowhere, clenching a pack of doughnuts in his hands (after all, he didn’t go all this way for nothing), waiting for someone he didn’t even know and had no idea what they looked like. They could be hiding in that green trash can, or pass him wearing an invisible cloak.. Daehyun huffed, reaching out to grasp the air, letting it pour through his fingers, sparkling in the dim orange light of the street’s lantern. And then, Daehyun noticed him.
In his eyes, the boy was just as transparent as a wall of dust, flying up from under his feet. Like a ghost, but actually walking, not floating or rattling the chains. That boy, Daehyun thought, was nothing different from any other teenager in the city, except for the danger following him like a hungry eagle. And the kid must have known that as well, which led to him being so hard to distinguish - as a natural instinct to hide. Holding tightly onto the doughnuts, Daehyun headed to the same direction the boy was walking, keeping a safe distance not far behind.
