I really enjoy how your characterization of the Yiga in Ruin of the Yiga is really matches the Yiga in totk as both incredibly silly but also incredibly technically adept. Also just really enjoying the story and wanted to say that!

Yes! One of my favorite things about the Yiga is how they’re such a weird mix of scary and buffoonish. And I have still not recovered from their R&D department in totk. Totk nailed my head canons.

I’m glad that I got parts of that story out before totk lol.

Just wanted to pop in to say how much I love Ruin of the Yiga. The dynamics between Link and Zelda are great and I love seeing Link be guard to a much younger charge - definitely giving those big brother vibes <3

I think Link would be protective of Aryll in a way he wasn’t with Zelda in canon. Both because of her age and because her predecessor was murdered. So he’s got some big bro vibes, especially since a lot of time it’s the two of them against the world. Also, she has lower status than Zelda did, so his formality can slip sometimes (and again because she’s younger and bad at formality).
