WOW!
Hehe!!! I'll post older art of Yinuo and her older designs later on, but her being cringe scene kid after rewriting her canon to fit better with later y2k... it was fun to make her design to better reflect that! And I love her design :0 it fits great.
Celia is lavender, more purple, whereas Yinuo is indigo a little more on the blue part of purple. But I have more fun things cooking up for both of them hehe!!!
Yinuo having bug themed robots and mengyao having an affinity for insects and me the idiot who's big afraid of insects
Celia is a polarizing historical figure, and in Yinuo's time there are scholars who still debate about her figure both personal life wise and her impact on Lynneae. And then Yinuo had the pleasure to meet the most insufferable person alive. By eating her flower... by mistake...
Yinuo sarcastically saying how Layne "totally wants her" but he takes that literally because he's just like ????? yes I do, so I can finish my damn job
Cherry, seeing a local, homeless emo sciene girl who commits crimes: I want That One
The Lich and Celia finding a new victim and it's a girl who's really into robotics and emo shit, lord help Yinuo
Layne finds himself in a triangle of sorts with the twins and I think that's very funny. It just... kinda accidentally happened.
Yinuo at first thought he was careless, airheaded, and a bum back when she was still living in the City of Knowledge, and she tended to scold him from time to time. She later becomes nervous once she finds out he's part of a bounty group that tracks down any runaway students or citizens of the city. She finds him to be a pain in the butt as he'd always foil her attempt to escape once she ingested Celia's flower, especially once she reaches New Lynnaea City and how she constantly has to outsmart him. She thinks Layne is her biggest opp... next to Celia.
As for Layne, he was like "whose lost child is this???" When he first interacted with her but didn't really mind her company. He doesn't understand why, but he keeps a close eye on her. Whereas Yinuo sees him as her enemy, he kinda thinks they're friends because of their past interactions, or at least on good terms. He's really good at his job, and has the determination and skills to bring back anyone who escapes. Very much "I'll chase you down to the ends of the earth." He finds the challenge to catch her to be fun but annoying with how she's always getting away. He wants to find out the reason why she'd leave a place as safe as the City of Knowledge.
Mengyao thinks he's interesting because she's unable to read his thoughts. When they first met, Layne mistook her for a disguised Yinuo and handcuffed her. Mengyao thought it was mad funny. She likes to tease him, and often hints to him about her sister's location. Seems like she's on the same side as him to bring her back to the school...
Layne thinks Mengyao is weird, a little unsettling, but senses a profound sense of loneliness from her. He doesn't like the roundabout way she speaks though since he's really not good at socialization in the first place. He appreciates the help he can get from her, nonetheless.
