Sleepless In Vienna:

this is a thing ive been working on, on and off, for a friend for about 2 years. its become enormous, and the pacing has become all wrong so im not entirely happy about it. at the moment, its sitting at 44k. but! its a travel fic inspired by min in the lotto MV. its a mafia/gambling au which takes place in vienna during the holiday season - a clashing of two worlds. reader brings out the sweetness and the young boy in min, and min helps reader realize shes his equal, far stronger than she gives herself credit for.

Okay, so, funny story. I’m a dumbass and thought you were saying ‘love you’ when I read this Friday night while extremely sleepy and then promptly 1. started reblogging it and saying ‘LOVE YOU TOO CHRISTINE’ 2. passed out and went to sleep 3. have been working the last few days and haven’t gone on my laptop 4. just re-opened it and realized A) i didn’t finish reblogging this and B) you were sending me letters for the game lmaooooo. long story short i love you and i’m a moron hahaha, hopefully a lovable moron <333

L: How many times do you usually revise your fic/chapter before posting?

Hmmm, I’d say probably 3?? I’m a hot mess when I write so I usually write a scene and re-read it before moving on, then I do a read through and add in connecting scenes/finish writing scenes I got halfway through before wandering off to write a different one (sigh), and then a final read through for grammar and continuity!

O: How do you begin a story–with the plot, or the characters?

I’d say for EXO fics I usually start with a plot, either one where my friends and I are talking and are like ‘OH MY GOD WHAT IF XYZ’ haha and then figure out which person to write it for or one I come up with at random, for any other group I usually start with the characters!

V: If you could write the sequel (or prequel) to any fic out there not written by yourself, which would you choose?

Ooooooh hmmm I’d say if I wrote anything I’d write just like, 12 billion words for how in love I am with @yeoldontknow‘s many Junmyeon’s that she’s written 😂😂😂😂love letters, smut, incoherent yodeling, the usual. other than that all of my favorite folks on here are incredible about writing series/one shots/drabbles/etc that are the perfect length for the idea they’re conveying, so I don’t think I’d change a thing 😘😘😘

U: Share three of your favorite fic writers and why you like them so much.

I’ll share 3 new faves! But first - some of my go-to all time friggin F A V E S are you @ymj-writes (OF COURSE), @yeoldontknow who I scream about regularly, @kpopchangedme (I am waiting patiently for tumblr to unleash Lys’ fics back into the world), @daegusoftboys (who makes me emo and want to read all the things about BTS even though EXO has consumed my world), @imdifferentshadesofpurple (who does the same for GOT7), and @jinniesbby who spoils me rotten and writes the sweetest fics with incredible plotlines that I can’t wait to swan dive into once life calms down and I can read more <33

1. @suho-mochi who I discovered late at night and almost woke up my roommates YODELING about. Like. Guys. There are not many tumblr baes who A) write predominantly Jun and B) who write series and smut and a;sodifjsf HIGH QUALITY jun fics. When I tell you I thought I’d died and was having a hallucination I’m only 4% kidding. A godsend, truly.

2. @optimizche I was DELIGHTED to find this blog because it’s rare to find someone who writes for ALL exo members and in a bunch of different genres too?!?!? And when I tell you the smut is straight fire AND the characterization and plot are top notch I absolutely mean it my friends. If you love EXO you’ve got yourself a T R E A T!

3. another new fave is @axiumin whose reactions and one-shots are SO amazing and my ass dies for good, sassy dialogue and let me tell you I have re-read some of these numerous times 💖💖💖💖💖
