I continue my artistic journey, but I wanted to do something nice for my friend @ylaziel who has been a tremendous help in my artistic pursuits. Plus, she is having kind of a hard time, so I thought this might help. A nice (ish) smiling Yla.

I have been watching class videos and the last nail in the coffin... Yla is becoming a Dancer come ShB <<

I like how dancer looks but I’ll admit the mechanics are a bit intimidating at least at first glance. I’ll definitely have to play around with it extensively to get a feel for how it works. But you know I am so digging that peacock aesthetic. I’ll have it on Samuru day one, looking forward to it!

“ what have you done that people would judge you most for doing ?”

Several long moments passed before Zedyr was able to answer, his eyes averted. He picked at a spot on his empty mug with a fingernail. When he spoke, it was in a low murmur.

“That… I never went back home.”  Zedyr pressed his lips together tightly so they wouldn’t tremble. “I just… I heard the news and I… turned right back around. Went back to the city, threw myself into whatever I could. Couldn’t face it. Didn’t want to think about it. So I just. Didn’t.”

He huffed a watery, self-deprecating laugh, his voice cracking. “Still don’t.” 

He grew quieter, but the words strained out of him anyway. “Worst thing is, I’ve still never been back. For all I know, the house is still there, they could still be…” His hand slipped over his mouth as his eyes pricked with tears.  

“I hate that I get like this,” he muttered, burying his face in his palm, his fingers gripping his hair. “Thousands of people with stories like mine, and worse – so much worse – an’ I can’t even–”

Zedyr scrubbed at his face, his loosened tongue finally too weighted down by shame for him to continue. A mute shake of his head was all he could manage.

👁 Wake my muse up during a nightmare

There she was, a Raen perched, sitting  beside a wall somewhere outside city walls. Did she pass out, somehow? Taiken walked over curiously to her side, noticing the Raen was merely asleep. He knelt down, inspecting her closely, seeing if she was suffering from any wounds… Then, he noticed it. The look of pain on her expression, the way she murmured in her sleep. 

“H-hey!” He would call out, reaching out a hesitant hand to shake her shoulder lightly. “Wake up, its not safe out here, you know! Are you injured…? Hey!”.

For the Musical Munday Meme ♪ and a stack of hug blankets to go with it.

I just discovered this song recently and have had it on repeat.

I like it for a number of reasons. It’s from the era I grew up in and boy do I have a huge attachment to 90′s music and nostalgia. Not to mention I just love Duran Duran in general. I also feel like the lyrics are pretty reflective of how life has been this year thus far and yeah, it’s just pleasant.

The miqo’te’s ears flipped about graciously, a wide smile curving his lips as he was met with such gentle words.

“Thank you, miss,” Rainea’to expressed his gratitude as he inclined his head to the young Au Ra female, “it is unusual for me to receive such a compliment from those I’ve yet to meet. Perhaps you would wish to join me over tea sometime soon?” Rain drew his hand to caress his jawline, his index finger strumming delicately along strands of his facial hair. “I would be honored to have your company.”
