when i saw the trailer my interest was piqued, but i too didn’t fall in love w/noémie until watching portrait. before watching, i reread the premise and thought adèle will be the one i become fixated with. i love adèle, but noémie as marianne got under my skin as i identify w/her tenderness & restraint. when she creates her self portrait for héloïse in bed, i really realized just *how bad* i got it for noémie. something about her eyes, nose, and mouth that i love. she seems kind and intelligent.
oh my god, i literally could have written that too !!!!! It’s EXACTLY how i felt.
When I went to watch portrait it was 90% for Adèle and Céline cause I loved them so much already. But yeah I identified more with Marianne (and Noémie actually, personality wise). And yeah that bed scene... my heart was pounding when i was looking at Marianne with her hair, so relaxed but still shy.
And Noémie is actually a new image for me and that was so exciting! Of course watching Adèle doing that kind of character was also new and surprising and SO wonderful and I loved it so so much, but i was already in love with Adèle before that haha. But dude discovering Noémie that way ? that was such a gift. I was in awe.
And yeah the more I know about Noémie the more i love her too. I really can’t wait to see what she’s going to do in the future !
