She hadn’t meant to dampen the mood, but the topic of old bandmates always came with a little bit of a sting. “When you look back on the past the what-ifs are never too far behind. I’m glad they’re both doing well with their new projects, I just miss them is all. But enough of about that! How have you been? I haven’t seen you in a while.”

I heard it through the grapevine that it’s your birthday. I don’t quite know your exact age (you never told me) but age doesn’t really quite matter. To me, your birthday is a celebration of the day this world was blessed with your magnificence, your kindness, your magic.

I’m grateful for that fateful day, meeting you as you battled that behemoth demon. You saw me as a person and not the monster people make me out to be. And, every day after has been a gift.

I didn’t know what get for your birthday so I made you gifts. It’s not much, really. But, I hope you enjoy it.

༼  Kibum jumped startled when a presence broke into the silence of his room. He relaxed though when he realized it was a familiar aura: Raven’s magic reaching him with enviable accuracy. He tilted his head at the box on top of the night table until he realized what it was. Smiling widely, he walked to his bed and sat down, slender fingers taking the pretty card attached to the box.

  Hazel hues read each line with undivided attention. The more he advanced in his reading, the redder the tips of his ears became just as he found it impossible to keep himself from grinning like a loon. He looked up then, his heart beating a bit too strong inside his chest in honest joy. He took the gift box then and began to unwrap it with all the patience and delicateness of the world. Kibum had believed his grin couldn’t become any bigger, but oh was he so mistaken~

  He caressed the shape of the pretty pendant Raven had given him and soon enough his eyes were fixed on every single detail of the drawing. It was all too much and with watery eyes –something he would deny fervidly if asked–, he fumbled around to get his phone and quickly type a message. ♚

Sorin is typically a fan of storms. He finds comfort in the sounds of the rain as it hits the rooftops and the gloom that comes along with the darkened clouds heavy with precipitation that had yet to drop. Most of all, he enjoys the scent of the rain after the storm, but at this point, it appears as though that would not come any time soon. Luckily for him he didn’t have any clients he had to visit for the day, so the fact that he was currently stuck waiting for the rain to subside hindered his schedule in no way. The same may not have been able to be said for the female, for she wore at least what he considered to be a troubled expression. His voice is soft as he speaks, just barely loud enough to be heard over the rain outside of the store.

“ Did you walk here today?”

She huffs indignantly, her lips poking out in displeasure as her violet orbs flicker to her male counterpart, “Listen, if my boyfriend finds out what I do on my computer, it’ll be the end of me. You be a good friend and grant my final request.” She’s sure her words won’t be heeded because it’d be unnecessary but it doesn’t hurt to try… or be a tad dramatic.

༼   Kibum laughs even more then, head thrown back and Adam’s apple showing as his eyes crinkle in the corners. He slaps his thigh in an attempt to control himself, but it doesn’t work until a few seconds later.

  “Why didn’t you use the Incognito Window anyway?” he asks between wheezes. “Next time save the links in a notepad and then put it in a cloud he doesn’t know that exists and just use the Incognito mode.”

  “Hey, do I get to at least know what’s what you did there? For science, of course, and because I’m a good friend, and I’ll do as you said.” ♚

He didn’t know what to do. What were you suppose to do? Freddie had never been trained for this, he never even fathomed this would be happening to him and yet here he was, in that exact situation. Frightened to his core. He wasn’t sure what sort of action to take and settled on calling his friend. Once she picked up, the male squeaked out one word: “Help.”

She hadn’t wandered into mixed drink territory just yet.  Her beer was doing the trick just fine, but she was curious as to what the bartender would give her if she also gave him free rein. “Drinking to forget or drinking to relax?”
