About #SaveADopeBoy Established in 2012 by Baltimore natives Derrick Jones and Tiffany Welch, #SaveADopeBoy was introduced as a movement to deter youth from relying on the streets as a means of support and promote financial success through supported job readiness and employment. In conjunction with the Maryland chapter of the Youth Advocate Program, #SaveADopeBoy targets urban youth with nontraditional backgrounds with the purpose of providing resources and guided opportunities to transform their own lives through responsibility, healthy decision making and most importantly employment.
