Dr. Maddiman x Chorus (OC) - Quick Visit
Chorus and Maddiman are fond of each other, so much so that they can’t get each other out of their minds.

Chorus stood at the checkout counter at his Everymart job.
It’s a quarter past one and business has slowed. Chorus is the only person who’s willing to work the Shopper’s Row Everymart night shift, so he gets scheduled to work it every night he’s available.
He’s tired, of course, and barely keeping himself awake. He hopes that when he gets off, he can make a small trip up to the abandoned Nocturne Hospital to see his favorite yokai friend, Dr. Maddiman.
At the thought of the much larger man, Chorus’ cheeks flush. He leans onto one of his freckled hands and he huffs, his bright orange work shirt brushing over his usually bare shoulders.
The image of kissing him, maybe exchanging a few warm glances, it just makes him shiver. He wishes he could gently touch him and love on him, but he’s a nearly hundred and fifty year old yokai who is once divorced and has a child who doesn’t speak to him anymore, and Chorus is a twenty-seven year old minimum wage worker who doesn’t really have anything to offer.
Chorus has almost fallen asleep when he hears the bell attached to the door jingle. Immediately, he shoots up and begins to sputter out the typical Everymart greeting, but the words die on his tongue when he sees the individual who just strolled into the market.
A man, about six-foot-five in height with a rather heavy build stands there, fidgeting with his hands. He has deep brown hair and thick glasses that seem to want to slip off of his hooked nose.
If Chorus hadn’t seen this man before, he would just think that he’s any other normal guy, but instead, Chorus is well aware of who he is.
“Oh, Madz! Welcome in! Are you looking to buy something this late? I guess even the infamous abandoned hospital doesn’t make the desire for a little treat stay away.”
The man awkwardly blushed, immediately recognizing that he had been caught. He didn’t think that Chorus would have recognized him after only seeing his human form one time.
“Mister Bey, I’d prefer it if you kept your voice down.” The man says with a sigh, “Do they not have cameras in here? Do you want me to get caught?”
Chorus shrugs, “The cameras don’t work anymore. The batteries haven’t been changed in ages. At least, not that I’m aware of. That, and our security room door has been boarded up because someone found SOMETHING behind it that the boss didn’t want us to see.” He shrugs, “So I think we’re okay to chat freely, so long as no one walks in.”
Maddiman sighs in relief, the more gentle hand fidgeting starting again, “Alright. Thank you for… reassuring me. I just stopped in to look.” He says, “It was getting boring at the lab since research was slow. I just… got this urge to stop by.” He mumbles.
Chorus grins widely. This is a pleasant surprise.
“Awesome. I was just thinking about you, actually! You’ve been lingering on my mind as of lately and I’m real happy to hear that I’ve been the same in yours!”
Faintly, Maddiman’s cheeks flush a gentle pink. He sighs and wanders over to the drink cases, scanning it from behind his thick glasses.
Chorus watches him the entire time, a grin on his face, and when he goes to check out, Chorus just lets him leave, turning a blind eye to the collection of colas going missing with the man.
His face flushes as he watches the man leave. Oh, how Chorus yearns for that man.
