INSIDE ISSUE 027 // "For simplicity lets call my inner life a garden. In my life, I cultivate this garden that allows me to find beauty in the world and meaning in my life. My garden is the art that you do not see and the art you see is the door that gives access to it. My job is to continue to grow this garden and improve the door. Some artists make beautiful gardens, others grandiose doors. Finally, some rare artists have created sumptuous doors that lead to sublime gardens." “The Dream” — watercolor, colored pencil, pastel and gold leaf on paper.
A tribute to Alphonse Mucha’s Le Pater.
Today I’m sharing another illustration from this series. One of the images that shaped my path and stayed with me long after it was finished.
This is part of my way of closing this chapter before fully turning to my new project, Labyrinthe.
My position and the context behind these works can be found in the pinned post.
[ENG] 🌟 'The Dream of the Fisherman’s Wife'
Ink, gold leaf, and hydrangea petals on cream paper (2021)
This piece, created in 2021 as a homage to Hokusai’s famous print, will be part of the upcoming exhibition:
“Japoniaiseries. Japanese Fantasies in the Time of Félicien Rops”
at the Félicien Rops Museum (Namur), from October 18th, 2025 to February 15th, 2026.
It’s a great honor for me to see my work presented alongside such a master (Félicien Rops) whose blend of sensuality, irony, and the sacred continues to inspire me deeply.
The exhibition explores the fascination of European artists for Japan and its aesthetics, from the 19th century to today, from Manet and Ensor to contemporary creators.
My sincere thanks to the Félicien Rops Museum for welcoming my work into this remarkable exhibition.

It’s my way of closing this chapter, before fully turning to my new project: Labyrinthe.
The context of the project, as well as my position regarding recent events, is detailed in the pinned post for those who wish to know more.
