Updates and Stuff, Yay!

Soooo! Roll20 is introducing a new thingy where you can /whisper... BUT IN VOICE CHAT!

HOW COOL IS THAT?!

Only thing is, it has to be through the Roll20 interface. (Luckily they have a new thing that they’re routing voice and video through, (keep video off if you please, I find it distracting and I know a couple of our players would too!) so issues people had with the old system should go away!) The things are all in BETA so there will be bugs and the like, but I think it’s worth a shot just for the /whisper function to be honest. It’d sure make my life easier, I know that much! Typing and talking in Discord is hard when I’m trying to /whisper to a player!

Thoughts on switching to using Roll20 for voice chat? Obviously the Discord will remain up for general chatting before/after the game, but all in game chat would be handled through Roll20.

Opinions? Good idea or no?

A Big Change to Friday Nights!

I’ve had a few people ask if I could move the session to a different night, as they can’t make Friday nights. So, as a result, I’ve decided that I’m probably going to hold the SKT game on Monday instead, (I can’t do Saturday/Sunday because they’re my family days/date nights with my fiance/general chill out time,) at the same time, 7PM-at least 9PM!

So, if you’ve filled in the form so far, I’ll be asking if the new time is convenient for you shortly. If you had other commitments on a Friday but still wanted to join in, now is a good time to get in touch and fill out this form!

Remember, while this is held under the ‘umbrella’ of YogDND, anyone is welcome, feel free to tell your fellow nerdy friends about this as well! - Tegan

A Reminder!

If anyone has new tokens that they’d like to use, please let me know ASAP so I can get them made for you and replace your old tokens with the new ones!

I know we’re one person down this week at least (well, one person who probably can’t access Roll20 but will be listening on Discord? Let me know if stuff’s changed and you can make it now!), but if any more of you can’t make it please let me know! Chances are we’ll continue with what I was planning to do anyway as I’m eager to get stuff movin’ along :D

Hey guys!

So. The session on Thursday may run longer than the usual hour and a half/two hours! As I’m keen to get you guys into a certain place this week :D Just a heads up for those of you making plans on Thurs. Session will still start at 7 as usual, but may run until like 10pm!

Also, as a reminder! If anyone wants to discuss character-y things, like backstories, or wants any guidance and ideas for backstories or something like that, that you should message me here or on my personal and I’ll help you out ASAP! I don’t tend to be on Discord much aside from the session so it’s probably better to chat to me on Tumblr :D

Also, if I know in advance, I can weave backstories into the campaign! And maybe do a cool thing that may be unexpected or interesting for ya!

I think I may just run CoS’s intro adventure today? Honestly? It’s a LOT more fun and RP heavy than ToD, I feel like the Thursday group would enjoy it a lot more!

Since I have a feeling some people aren’t going to be able to make it, I can feasibly run CoS with just two players really. Plus, I can NPC an extra character if needs be! In fact, I’ll probably do that if not everyone makes it, haha. Any excuse to play Gloom basically, they’re my new bab.

ALSO! I’ll be running this on the normal YogDND Roll20 game, if anyone wants to make a new sheet, just tell me and I can create one for ya in the game and assign it to you so you can edit it!

If only one person shows up, I can also run CoS, again, I’ll NPC a character so that you’re not totally alone! Small games are just as fun as bigger ones tbh, but obviously, the more of you that can make it, the better!

Please let me know if you can’t make it ASAP so I can prepare for you not being able to make it! (Also means we won’t be waiting for you for half an hour :P)
