(This is a Yogscast fiction. This does include possible character death. If someone wishes to write a response fiction that could change the end, feel free.)
Here I am... Awaiting death. Though I don't see anyone to save me, to respawn me.
Have I outlived my usefulness? Was I just a toy to be played with until they found something else?
I'd made friends, or at least those who I had called friends. One disappeared, one went off to do their own thing.
I'd had enemies. One I made truce with, the other I haven't heard from in a while.
Those who I though I was close to disappeared, made lives for themselves. Those who I wanted to become close to sneered and pushed me away. I nearly made allegiances with a reaper once, but he's never come for me.
Then when I felt her come close, I felt her draw near, I spread my warning that my fear had come true.
They just laughed at me.
Why didn't they listen to me? Did they think me a fool? Nothing more than a stupid, insane person?
So I led her away. Far away. Away from the people of the world. I lead her into an area where she couldn't get out. Where I couldn't get out. I slew the vile creature, only to gain a deep claw to my stomach, gashes across my back and a long fall I could not save myself from.
Hey! This is Nigh, one of the two mods of this wondrous vessel. I'm here to say that the ask box is now open! Pop a request for a fanfic or a drawing in the box and I will try to satisfy in a reasonable amount of time. The drawing might be slightly crappy though... -Nigh xoxo
Sometimes i really feel like writing drabbles and ficlets to do with the Yogscast but cant ever think of a pairing or a prompt to get started. So i thought maybe other yognau(gh)ts might feel the same at times and well, this might be useful..

___________
The moon slowly rose, now at its peak stating its place within the dark, starry night sky. Rythian stayed sat on the end of the bed, his eyes drifted towards a curled up teep just outside the door, snuggled up in the hallway and then turned to face the top of the bed where the red head lay sleeping silently, eyes gently shut and breathing calmed. Rythian couldn’t sleep, again. The reoccurring nightmares and sleep hauntings were enough to lead him to decided that he’d rather spend his sleeping hours awake; but they wasn’t the main reason. Lalna. The name pierced through him, causing him to furrow his brows and grit his teeth. Sleep was no longer an option while that man still lived. Who knows what he’s ever up to? At least with Sjin he knew how he could return attack if necessary, he knew his weakness, Sips. But for Lalna, there was no Sips. There was no one, for all Rythian knew anyway. Lalna didn’t have any relationships with such strong commitments. There was of course Xephos and Honeydew, the cookie guys. Sure, it would hurt Lalna to remove them from existence but it wouldn’t punish him enough as, per say, removing a Sips from a Sjin.
Rythian’s thoughts continued pondering as he starred blankly out the window, watching the spiders crawl up and down the brick walls subconsciously. Although he thought he had Lalna pretty much summed up, an evil scientist who preferred to be alone up in his darkened castle experimenting on new schemes and plans, he never could find a conclusion to how the blonde and the bearded settled their matters and dropped war. Swarms of ideas flooded his mind, was it a case of one of the boys simply holding out their hand for the other to shake? did they come to a decision which meant both men would benefit from making up? was it because their friends were becoming ever so tiresome of their mindless acts? Or was it something more, sinister. Did Lalna nearly cause a death of either Sips or Minty forcing Sjin to summon to his demand in order to spare their lives? Did he make Sjin get down and beg before accepting his apology? It was then a thought hit Rythian, causing his eyes to slightly enlarge with question and wonder. Could it be Sjin found a way of breaking Lalna? did he find the scientists weakness and use it against him? a suggestive glint appeared in his eyes, if this was the case, Rythian could easily find the out the blondes weakness and even if it wasn’t, he would still be able to find out the reasoning behind their friendship. A sly yet devious grin formed on the wizards pursed lips. The only question is, how?
In the now early morning, Rythian stood from the bed, careful to not wake his mushroom friend from her sleep. He creeped out the door and as Teep looked up at him with wary eyes, he put a finger to his mouth; symbolising silence to the dinosaur.
he walked downstairs to the cellar of the castle. Bottles of various coloured liquids surrounded him and magica tools were scattered all over a counter. He opened a cupboard and dragged out the big dusty book, wiping away the tools to the corner of the counter, he laid the book open on it. Rythian grabbed a nearby wooden stool and began researching. He had discovered so many spells over the past few years that he couldn’t even remember a lot of them. muscle potion, flower potion… lust potion? he smirked and blushed as he remembered the times he had used it in the past.
It took a while but eventually seeing some of the potions gave him an idea. If he could some how make a mixture of the time traveling potion with the ghost potion, he could go back to the day they reunited, in ghost form. He could therefore observe the scene without the worry of being caught by either past Sjin, Lalna or even himself. “This could actually work” Rythian thought out loud while setting up the station. “this could work”
**
the beads of sweat from concentrating rolled down Rythian’s forehead. He added one more drop of time traveling when a small explosion occurred. Sparks flew from the bottle and letters spilled out in a green mist spelling ‘curious’. “its done” he said to himself, smiling at the newly founded creation. “a curious potion”. Pouring a tiny bit of the substance into a glass, he scribed onto a red shard ‘Sjin and Lalna’s make up’ then dropped it into the liquid, watching it disintegrate instantly. He gave it a little shake, eying the potion before bringing it to his lips. “here goes nothing” he spoke, still unsure of the consequences yet seconds after he gulped down the green bubbling drink and slowly fell to the ground.
***
The coldness from the metallic floor pushed against the peach skin on his cheek. Rythian opened his eyes, rubbing his head as he stumbled to get up onto his feet, daze taking over him. Where was he? why was he just on the ground? it wasn’t till he was completely stable and saw a blurry lab coat hanging on a huge electronic door in the corner when he became aware of his surroundings. He was in Lalna’s lab. He’d never actually been in there before, but there was no doubt about it. Plans, schemes and designs covered most of the walls and the ones that wasn’t were filled with buttons and levers that did god knows what. One button stood out in particular which had a sign with a scribble of ‘Rythian & Zoeya’ marked into the wood. He scold at the button, knowing it led to the activation of the bomb under his base. Nevertheless, this wasn’t the reason why he was here.
Rythian circled the lab, admiring all the scientists work. He may be enemies, but there was no denying that the man was a genius. He saw Lalna laying on his sofa. He had a notepad in his left hand, doodling random machine like figures with the pencil in his right. However, there was no sight of Sjin anywhere. “i’m sure i put in the right date” Rythian thought. He took a seat in the arm chair opposite.
Nothing really happened within the next hour. Lalna cooked some pork chops and ate them, that was about it. “maybe i did get it wrong” Sighing, he was just about to deactivate the potion when he heard the chimes of the grand doorbell. “or not”
“oh for god sake, who can that be” Lalna cursed, pulling himself off the chair and strode towards the door, Rythian following.
At the door, Lalna entered a code into the system. He then pulled the lever to reveal a dark rainy night sky with a bearded man on his doorstep. Sjin. He glared at Lalna and Lalna returned the look, edging his hand towards a button which called the dogs. Sjin noticed, his face changing to worry and panic within seconds. “w-woah, wait”
“why are you here and what do you want?” His hand didn’t move from the button, it simple hovered over it in preparation.
“i’m bored” Sjin gave a weak smile which soon faded when he saw Lalna shake is head in disbelief.
“So you come to me?!”
“Sips is on holiday, for business men only, bitches to the left and to the right, apparently”
“Xephos and Honeydew? Nilesy? Minty for Christ sake?”
“Xephos and Honeydew are at Lomadia’s house. I cant just crash in.. Nilesy has been with Rythian and Zoeya recently, so well, y’know. and Minty, er, w-well..” he began an awkward laugh but Lalna cut him off, becoming tiresome of his story already.
“look Sjin i don’t really care about your life stories,z just go”
“i have beer?” Sjin said just before Lalna could tug on the lever to close the door. He faced Sjin again, raising his eyebrows.
“the finniest from Sips Co! j-just don’t tell Sips..”
Sighing, Lalna let the boy in. Even though the silence was comforting, it did get boring being on his own in his huge lair all the time so the company wouldn’t be so bad- even if it was from Sjin. Plus, when beer’s offered, who subjects? He closed the doors behind him and returned to the room with Sjin following behind and Rythian also, studying the boys actions. Rythian returned to the armchair as Sjin sat on the sofa and Lalna sat at his desk.
Sjin handed him the bottle of liquid. He eyed it warily and Sjin soon picked up on his look.
“I haven’t poisoned it, if that’s what you’re wondering” he took a sip from his beer.
“You can never be too sure”
Silence fell apon them. They took sips of their drinks every now and then and watched each other carefully, still not too sure if the other was planning some kind of attack. Lalna still couldn’t understand why Sjin even considered to go to his lab. Surely even if you are bored you don’t choose to visit your enemy. Yet in contrast, Sjin was just as clueless as to why Lalna agreed to let him inside.
Sjin saw a notepad on the side of the sofa, scribbles of various contraptions and devices all over it. He nodded his head, almost as if he was impressed. He then adverted his eyes to Lalna.
“so..” Sjin said. Not getting a response from Lalna, he carried on.
“lets play a game?”
“no.”
“truth or dare?”
“i’m not playing.”
“truth or dare?” he repeated, a smirk playing at his lips.
“fuck off Sjin or you can leave.”
“why? are you chicken?”
“n-no i-“
Sjin began making chicken noises, flapping his arms around and laughing at himself. Lalna rolled his eyes and sighed in frustration.
“fine! truth.”
“hmm” Sjin thought. He rubbed his beard and squinted his eyes in concentration. His actions taking on an almost more serious tone as he asked the question. “do -do you regret having the war?”
“no.”
“not even slightly?”
“no, you deserved it”
“hmm, okay. If you say so..” Sjin took a moment to digest the newly learned information. Lalna swore he saw his face and body drop with disappointment, as if he was took back by his answer, not expecting it. “my turn!” Sjin put down his empty bottle and faced Lalna excitingly.
“do we have to play this? it’s so dumb..”
“come on”
“fine, truth or dare?”
“dare” he bit his lip and watched the man intensively
“i dare you to leave.”
“oh” he whispered, swallowing hard. “if you really want me to.”
Lalna didn’t reply
“okay well, bye then..”
“i mean, i do have another beer for you, but, i guess..”
“alright look you can stay, just pass me another beer for Christ sake.”
**
After a few more rounds of truth or dare and a couple more beers Lalna and Sjin were both slightly intoxicated. Lalna, a more experienced drinker than Sjin, wasn’t effected by the brown liquid compared to his brown haired foe. Sjin wasn’t massively effected either, he could still control what he said and done. The only noticeable change was a slight confidence boost and a small tipsy stutter.
Rythian sat back in the chair and sighed, covering his mouth as he yawned. Did his enemies really make up over beer? was that it? Surely you’d think that after two people basically destroyed a world in order to kill each other that their befriending moment would be slightly more exciting than this.
“okay okay” Sjin spoke through giggles “truth or dare”
“truth” Lalna answered, tipping the bottle up so receive the remaining droplets
“have you ever.. thought about another man.. sexually?”
Lalna choked on his drink slightly, recovering by coughing “w-what?!”
“you know, Xephos.. Honeydew.. anyone..”
“n-no. no i haven’t”
“Of course Lalna.. Of course”
“i haven’t!” a tint of pink was creeping onto his cheeks, Lalna couldn’t tell if it was due to the beer or these dumb questions Sjin was asking.
Rythian laughed at Lalna’s embarrassment. God, he wish he brought some popcorn..
“truth or dare?”
“truth”
Lalna got up from his seat to sit next to Sjin on the sofa
“Have you and Sips ever, uhm, ‘done it’?”
“yup, quite a few times actually. heh heh. We’re not exactly a, uhm, couple, as such”
“whoa, really?”
“y-yeah. That’s what i was gonna tell you earlier about-“
“yeah yeah heard enough Sjin”
A glance of hurt showed on Sjin’s face which Lalna picked up on. Should he of let him continue? but before the blonde even had the chance to reconsider and let Sjin carry on, Sjin had already moved on with the game.
“fine, truth or dare?”
“dare, why the heck not”
A grin formed on Sjin’s face, almost as if he was pleased with Lalna’s decision.
“i dare you..” he paused, sitting up straight and looking into Lalna’s eyes. “to kiss me”
Rythian’s eyes widened in disbelief, did he hear that right?
“kiss you?! why would i do that?!” Lalna said, confused to as why Sjin would even suggest that
“cause i dared you to”
“why?!”
“if we’re enemies, then why does it matter? it wont mean anything if we hate each other..”
“i’m not kissing you Sjin.”
“if you kiss me, it means you hate me”
“but, Sjin i-“
“and if you don’t, i’m taking it as you love me” Sjin bit down on his lip however, before he knew it lalna had thrust forward and pushed his lips against Sjin’s, roughly. Sjin hummed an unprepared squeal into the kiss before returning it. Lalna was now lying above architect, one hand leaning on the couch arm for support, the other pressing down onto his chest. Sjin tugged on the neck of Lalna’s t-shirt and rose, trying to deepen the kiss. Lalna opened his mouth for air but when an unexpected tongue entered, his eyes flew open and arms flailing backwards as he withdrew from the kiss.
“You never said anything about tongues” Lalna spat his words at Sjin
”didn’t i? whoops..” Sjin smirked, licking Lalna’s taste off his lips.
Rythian sat there speechless, a hateful kiss was what he least expected of the pair.
The scientist looked up at the metallic clock placed above the TV “i think its time you left”
“w-what? but it-its so late..” Worry filled the boys body
“and?”
“and, and there’s monsters out there, Sips Co is so far away”
“i don’t care? we’re enemies, remember? and, that just proved it, somehow”
“please, please Lalna, just one night?” he was practically holding back tears and he couldn’t tell whether it was due to the alcohol circling his body or the fact he didn’t want to be alone, again. Without Sips there the night times were more frightening than ever. Zombie groans and spiders hisses seemed to be amplified and there was no one there to hold him as he shivered through the horrors of the night.
“i cant believe i’m gonna say this” Lalna rubbed his forehead and sighed. “fine, you can stay tonight on the couch, but that’s it.”
Sjin’s face lit up and relief washed over him “thanks, love you” he smirked at the scientist who returned with a stern stare.
——-
i thought here would be a good place to cut off this fiction considering this is all pretty much SFW and just cute flirty stuff. If you would like to continue reading, i warn you of smut ahead. Also,Rythna is coming. Dont worry- the only reason im writing all this is due to an anon Rythna smut prompt and i haven’t included any real Rythian and Lalna smut yet whoops. (Sjin is just a slut and gets involved in everything that’s sexual okay)
Okay so recently total lie it was like 2 months ago im sorry i asked for some prompts..
Rythna. okay.
So no i haven’t forgotten you, i’m just the biggest procrastinator ever and i apologise. thank you for the prompts by the way ^_^
There will be a 3 maybe 4 part fiction based on the prompts above. i thought of a really good plot for this and well, lets just say when i think of good plots it may be too long and it might not be exactly what you wished for. Also, i’m the slowest writer in history and constantly get writers block so it may take a while for me to update parts but bare with me :P
Although the prompts were for Rythna, ive kinda sneaked some Laljin in there as well for the first two parts whoops im sorry its just Sjin is such a slut so uhm if you’re not into that, id skip the first 2. It isnt smut straight away, im leading up to it. Basically, the story in whole will contain fluff, smut, cuteness, flirting etc etc.
Below is a basic plot and also the parts. If you want to send any more pairings or prompts feel free, i will do them all, eventually :3
Basic plot: Rythian cant get a good nights sleep from the constant worry of his scientist foe putting one of his plans into action. He can’t sleep knowing Zoeya could be defenseless against his schemes. He forces himself to stay awake to protect her and keep her from harms way. Sleep deprived thoughts wonder into his brain, stupid questions and scenarios your mind creates when you don’t have sleep until one specific thought stood out. He never actually found out how Lalna and Sjin made up. How are they friends again? Surely, destroying a whole world in order to murder each other couldn’t be settled with a simple hand shake, maybe something more sinister happened. Maybe Sjin found Lalna’s weakness, a weakness Rythian has been looking for for a very long time in order to keep the blonde at bay.
curious, he creates a potion to take him (in ghost form) back to when they reunited. However, what he finds out is what he least expected. He may of found a weakness but the experience was.. eye opening, to say the least.
Now with the newly known information, Rythian can put his plan into action, he can finally get the scientist to back off once and for all and lets just say, it’s going to be fun..
PART 1- Curiosity: Complete
PART 2- Machines: Incomplete
I saw a yogprompt about Sjin, Lalna and Rythian being friends and was like, this is my area! Yeah, somehow, this turned into a 'Rythian was Alice', somehow. I remembered that Rythian played an Alice game and, was like, I can roll with that.
Also, I'm not certain how Rythian could be Alice, so, that's up to you, if he was in Alice's place or if he is Alice reincarnated.
.
Rythian had been called a workaholic many times, he wasn't, he just didn't understand thathis body needed sleep and to eat. It was not his fault and, like Sjin, he always forgot to take care of himself.
It was one of the few days that Rythian remembered that he was human and that he needed sleep to survive, so, he slipped into his bed and waited for sleep to come.
Just when he was starting to fall asleep, the door to his bedroom (Sjin designed and made the house, if Rythian had done it, he wouldn't have even made the room) flew open and a very chipper Lalna jumped onto Rythian's bed: “Wake up, sleepy head!”
Rythian sighed as he looked at his friend, knowing he would not get any sleep at all: “Really?”
Lalna nodded enthusiastically, he was too happy, Rythian decided.
“It's four in the morning,” Rythian wondered why Lalna had so much energy and inwardly cursed him.
“Yeah!” Lalna grinned, “let's go on a picnic!”
Rythian wondered why he was friends with a person so clearly insane: “Right. Why?”
“See, Sjin was talking about the teleporter and, then, when we tried it out,” Lalna paused for dramatic effect, “nothing happened, but after fixing it, it worked! It was so exiting and we, that being me and Sjin-”
“Sjin and I,” Rythian corrected Lalna absentmindedly, Lalna tended to get lost in his projects and say things he wouldn’t normally.
“-Right, Sjin and I agreed to have a picnic as a celebration! Of course, you had to be included! So, I rushed to your house! You'll come, right?”
Rythian was too tired to put up a fight: “When?”
“Now!” Lalna beamed.
Rythian groaned: “What do I need to bring?”
He had learned that it was best to agree with Lalna when he was like that, less of a hassle for Rythian.
“Well,” Lalna mused, “I guess you'll bring the sandwiches. You're in love with the food.”
It was not Rythian's fault that the first Minecraftian/Tektopian food he ate were sandwiches (it did not help that they were easy to make and delicious).
“Oh! I'll tell Sjin!” and with that Lalna was gone and Rythian wondered why he was dragged into weird situations. Why were both of his only friends so odd?
Well, he couldn’t talk, he stayed away from water and they never questioned why he did that. So Rythian never questioned why Sjin talked to himself sometimes (Rythian really wanted to meet this Sips Sjin was so fond of, fond enough to forget that Sips was not around) or why Lalna hated mirrors.
Rythian dragged himself out of bed and almost tripped over his own feet. Today was just not his day.
“I hate the both of you,” Rythian growled as he imagined punching Sjin and Lalna.
.
Sjin was as chipper as Lalna was, Rythian noticed when he arrived at the coordinates Lalna gave him, when he managed to write a note, Rythian had no clue.
I'm not going to survive this day, Rythian sighed.
The place the other two chose was pretty. It was a forest biome next to a waterfall.
A waterfall.
Maybe it was the fact that Rythian had lived on flying islands, but Rythian always loved waterfalls and it seemed like Sjin and Lalna knew that.
Lalna noticed him looking at the waterfall and grinned: “Yeah, we saw this place and thought you might like it.”
Like it more like love it, Rythian didn't say it out loud, he wasn't certain why at the time, but he knew in the future. Saying something out loud would have broken the silence that was in the air.
And then Sjin would start talking, Rythian liked the silence when it was just the three of them, but the silence always seemed like it would break at any moment (just like their friendship did).
Sjin smiled at the picnic table (when did that get there?): “Done!”
Lalna's hands flew into the air, why, Rythian could only guess: “Happy birthday, Rythian!”
Rythian blinked at the two: Wait, what? But my birthday is on-Oh, I see.
The two guessed he was a 'first spawn' when he met Lalna and Rythian never bothered to fix their mistake, they assumed that the day Lalna met him was the day that he first spawned into the world.
Ah, this is awkward, Rythian didn't want them to be sad (all their work for nothing), so, he did the first thing that came into his head, he lied.
“You remembered! I didn't even remember,” Rythian was glad he wore a mask, they might have noticed that he was lying then.
Lalna laughed: “Don't be silly, Ry, you're our best friend!”
Ry? alright, he was blushing now, nobody had ever called him by a nickname before. Also, the joy he felt at being called their best friend shadowed the fact that he lied.
“I brought tea.”
Rythian looked at Sjin for his weird comment, but shrugged: “Alright, we're going to have a tea-party then.”
Lalna was in, after saying that they were not allowed to tell his sister, Lomadia, that he went to a tea-party.
Some part of Rythian felt it had happened before, like he had walked into a tea party with somebody before and joined them.
.
“Why is a raven like a writing desk?”
.
“Have you guessed the riddle yet?”
“No, I give it up, what's the answer?”
“I haven't the slightest idea.”
“Nor I.”
“I think you might do something better with the time, than waste it in asking riddles that have no answers.”
.
“Why is a raven like a writing desk?” Rythian blurted out.
The other two looked at him weirdly, but thought about the answer.
“Because it can produce a few notes, though they are very flat; and it is nevar put with the wrong end in front!” nevar was raven backwards, but because Lalna spoke it, the other two didn't get the (small) joke Lalna made.
Sjin frowned and reached for the teapot (he brought a teapot!): “Why is a raven like a writing desk? The higher the fewer, of course! Have another cup of tea?”
“Yes, please,” Lalna nodded.
.
“Take some more tea.”
“I've had nothing yet, so I can't take more.”
“You mean you can't take less, it's very easy to take more than nothing.”
.
Rythian paused, he didn't remember that happening at all, but it seemed so familiar.
“Hey!” Lalna's voice snapped Rythian out of his thoughts, “when was the last time we spent time together, just us?”
“Yesterday?” Sjin asked.
“No, Zoeya was with us yesterday.”
“The day before that?” Sjin guessed.
“No, Teep was with us.”
“I heard,” Sjin was in gossip mode, poor Teep, “that Teep was dating a, lovely, I'm sure, bat-lady!”
.
“Twinkle, twinkle, little bat!
How I wonder where you're at!
Up above the world you fly,
Like a tea-tray in the sky
Twinkle, twinkle-
-Twinkle, twinkle, twinkle, twinkle.”
.
Rythian hummed the tune as he poured himself more tea. Sjin and Lalna raised an eyebrow at him, but didn't question it.
It was what Rythian liked most about his friends, they were curious, but they respected secrets and personal space. They liked coming to conclusions by themselves, not by what they heard from others (it was because of the rumors that Rythian had to add not evil to his 'name').
.
“It was a fun tea-party!” Sjin grinned as they went in different directions. Lalna nodded and Rythian hoped they did not see the amusement he felt, he heard something quite different in his head.
.
“It's the stupidest tea-party I ever was at in all my life!”
So, um, I promised. I don't like this. Also, this fic is not, again, with a ship in mind.
But it's leaning towards STLW or Ridge/Toby. I don't think they have a shipname.
SoTotallyRidgedog?
Um, okay: Winter
Toby rarely hated Littlewood, in fact Toby didn't even remember the last time he hated his best friend.
Littlewood was quite mean during the winter time, but Toby was use to people being mean to him (and Littlewood apologized, not like the others, so Toby stuck with him). They were lonely in their own way, because of their heritage. Most people would at least question their friends but they just went with it.
There were times when Littlewood didn't hold his morals and Toby hated him most then.
Toby noted that his breaths were quick and that his hands were shaking.
“Most likely from anger, you always did have an absolutely horrid temper,” Toby ignored the voice that he had grown use to over the years. It was completely normal for a voice in his head to talk.
Littlewood killed Archie. The bastard actually killed Toby's dog (it was a sign that showed how angry Toby was, he would never call his best friend a bastard under normal circumstances). Toby had never wanted to kill anyone so much.
'Sweet revenge,' another voice whispered. Tony took a deep breath, his type of revenge was torture and Littlewood was still Toby's best friend no matter how angry he was. But Littlewood went too far this time.
'For Poor Archie,' the voice whispered again and Toby blacked out. It wasn't a real blackout nor did he lose consciousness. He just lost control.
Toby rarely remembered his 'blackouts', he just knew the basics, he killed Littlewood and left. It was hard to make sense of what he remembered when the sound was muffled and his sight was hazy.
Toby remembered that he wanted to go far away but he hesitated. He didn't want to leave Hankie all alone. Toby remembered how Hank took Marvin's death. Toby didn't want to leave him all alone.
“I'll visit him one more time,” Toby breathed out.
'Ha, you just want an excuse to stay,' Toby ignored the voice even though he knew that if Hank wanted him to stay, Toby would. It was a part of his personality (Toby remembered a time when loyalty wasn't a part of him, back when he was alone, not with his two halves).
Littlewood would never know of that side and Toby would never show him. Littlewood would never know the reason for Toby's existence. To keep balance, to make certain that Herobrine and Steve didn't escape. They were made one person and their personalities were too different to match so Notch created Toby. He was supposed be a mix of the two to keep balance but Toby wasn't certain what went wrong. Toby wasn't a mix of the two, he was his own person (not that it was a bad thing).
The cart ride had never seemed so long before, Tony's anger was starting to slowly fade and he was starting to question his decision to leave ('oh, don't regret anything, he deserved it,' Herobrine whispered and Toby wondered about his sanity since he actually listened).
Toby won't go back, he won't, because they killed Archie-
“They bullied you as well,” Steve sighed, “don't forget that.”
-They were probably laughing about it. It made Toby so angry, wasn't Littlewood always going on about protecting nature? Toby had listened through Littlewood's rants more then enough to know that. And then he goes and kills an innocent dog out of anger (looking back at it later, Littlewood did have elements of self-defense in his actions).
Toby found Hank easily enough, Hank was at the outpost, he was there often.
“Hey Hankie,” Toby greeted the golem, “I just want to tell you that, that, I'm leaving.”
Toby wasn't certain why he hesitated in his speech, he just glanced at the house where Marvin died and he almost chocked up.
Toby didn't know what he expected from the golem but he didn't expect for Hank to turn to Toby, argue (as much as a golem could, they don't exactly have voices), glance at the outpost and then Hank made gestures that indicated that he wanted to join Toby.
Toby guessed that Hank saw flashbacks of Marvin from being here. If a golem could have flashbacks. Toby was not exactly certain, but he had seen weirder things.
Toby could not help but say: “Hank has joined your party.”
Hank didn't get the reference and Toby understood how odd it felt to be the only one to understand a small things that Littlewood would get. A small part of him was starting to miss Littlewood but the anger suppressed all.
They walked in a random direction, since they wanted to just get away.
They found Ridgedog on accident. Toby walked down a hill and suddenly just fell. Toby went back to see what he stumbled over (he was not that clumsy, no matter what Littlewood said!). He was quite surprised when he saw that he stumbled over the Grinch. Well, he was Ridgedog and the Grinch. Ridgedog reminded Toby of himself, how Herobrine sometimes took over.
It was sympathy that led to Toby helping Ridgedog out. Also the fact that even though Toby rarely spoke to Ridge, Ridge was still a friend (actually, Ridge was more Littlewood's friend then Toby's).
Hank came down the hill as Toby finished looking over Ridge's wounds. Hank looked at Toby in disappointment but didn’t speak against helping Ridge (Ridge was still an enemy, after all).
“He's out cold and seems to have broken an arm,” Toby needed to safely take Ridge to a warm place. Hank pointed to a cottage near by after Toby told him this.
“It just had to be uphill,” Toby grumbled, he decided that Hank was the safest and fastest way uphill. The trek uphill took some time as the snow was quite high.
The cottage looked normal on the outside but Toby found that the inside quite cozy. Hank seemed to have fallen in love with the cottage and the outside (how Hank got inside, Toby did not know).
Toby looked over Ridge one more time and noticed that Ridge was bleeding, the trek uphill must have opened some of his wounds.
Toby looked around and sighed in relief as he saw a potion stand and a chest next to it. Toby was decent at making potions, he was really glad that he memorized the important potions.
Toby looked at the chest and smiled, with a Glistering Melon and Nether Wart, he can make a Healing Potion. Add Gunpower and he was set.
Toby made three potions, only one of them a splash potion. He kept the two others, just in case ('Ridge is still an enemy,' Herobrine sang).
Toby threw the splash potion at the ground and watched his potion do its job. It always made him smile, seeing his potion doing its job. Toby always loved potions, it was the reason he loved magic in general.
Toby looked over to Ridge to see the man opening his eyes. Toby looked at the brown eyes in surprise, the Grinch had black eyes.
~Does Linebreak work?~
Ridge blinked to get rid of the haziness. It took quite a few seconds until Ridge noticed that he was not alone.
A few more seconds for him to even see the person.
And a little time for him to understand who he was looking at.
SoTotallyToby, his brain supplied, from the games that the Grinch loved.
Speaking of the Grinch, Ridge looked at his furry green hands, it must be winter, Ridge despised the winter. It was the reason he allowed the Grinch to take over during them.
Ridge looked at Toby, he wasn't going to attack, he was probably the person who dragged Ridge here. But the fact that there was only curiosity in Toby's eyes made Ridge relax.
“I used your supplies to make a Heath potion for you,” Ridge guessed that the Health potion was not the only thing Toby made but didn't speak up, Toby had healed him after all.
Toby continued: “Hank carried you up the hill.”
Ridge searched for a Hank he knew but he came to a blank, Toby saw his confusion: “My golem.”
It was interesting that a golem helped Ridge, golems didn't usually like him.
“Well, I think that I should go, Hank seems to want to stay here,” Toby glanced out the window, “yeah, just me.”
“Wait!” Ridge wasn't certain why he wanted for Toby to stay here but he did (it was really lonely here, he didn't want one of the only people who didn't ask questions to leave), “you're good with potions, right? Can you help me?”
Pathetic, was that the best cover he could think of?
Toby saw right though it, Ridge could see it: “Sure, I'll stay.”
~Linebreak~
Toby noticed that Ridge started to get rid of his greenness as the winter started to end. It made teaching him harder, the green fur fell everywhere. But it did have interesting results.
A poison turned into an invisibility potion for example. It made Toby grin at all the possibilities.
When spring started, all the green fur was gone (well, according to Ridge).
Hank wanted to stay at the cottage so Toby and Ridge made him two friends: a snow golem names Gilbert and a golem named Harpo. Toby didn't get it but it sounded like an inside joke to Ridge.
“Where are we going?” Toby asked.
Ridge smiled: “I believe your friend is very distraught. He is at your company site.”
“Where are you going?”
Ridge grinned: “Mexxy is usually worried about me around this time.”
Toby nodded: “So... next year, winter?”
Ridge laughed: “Next year, winter.”
(Bonus:)
Littlewood wasn't certain why he came here. He had not seen Toby in months. So, why did he come to the place where he had many memories of Toby? Littlewood looked around, he opened cheats and found the fact that their swords were in separate chests very ironic.
Littlewood looked at the lit fire and remembered when Toby fell through the wood, that really was unsafe. Littlewood didn't remember a time where he had been this far from Toby since they met. He missed his friend.
“Missed you too, buddy,” Littlewood turned around and thought he was dreaming again. But Toby seemed to real this time. He had to be here, Littlewood didn't think he could stand it not being real.
“Are you real?” Littlewood blurted out. Toby grinned and nodded, They fell to the ground when Littlewood ran to hug his friend.
“Please don't leave, I missed you,” in his mind Littlewood sounded like a broken jukebox, but he didn't care, Toby was back!
“I won't,” Toby lied, after all, he promised Ridge.
