Do you get stressed? This is one of the top questions that I am frequently asked. I return, 'The right question is, How do I manage stress?' Who doesn't get stressed? Unless you're a monk who sits on the top of the mountain meditating all day. Even though cold rain showers or a flock of loud birds above could raise cortisol levels. So to avoid stress in a stressful environment is near to impossible. While it is easy to be calm in a calm environment, what do we do when we are exposed to so many stressful situations? We learn different techniques to help us to manage stress. We all know that deep breathing helps to calm the mind down, we advised to count to 10 before we respond to someone, we don't send an email response straight away - we leave it till next day and sleep over it. We give the body enough rest as overexercising can cause loads of stress too. Managing stress is not easy and takes years. So we got to start now. And the best way to do this is to practice meditation and yoga. At least twice a week if living a very busy life. Pranayama (breathing) practice, meditation and yoga help you to change your beliefs and perceptions. You become calmer and kinder, hence less reactive to negative stimuli. Yoga teaches non-attachment, no judgement and not to have expectations. I could go on and on but I cannot cover it all in one post. You have to either learn it by yourself or allow yourself to be guided by someone in a safe environment. #yogida #yoga #yogaeverydamnday #yogi #yogitoes #yogisurprise #yogapratice #yogafit #yogafitness #yogafun #yogafundamentals #yogahorsham #TFLers #instahealth #active #strong #motivation #instagood #determination #lifestyle #kilnwoodvale #broadbridgeheath #warnham #warnhamgym #yogastudio #warnhamyoga #horsham (at Bodywise Gym & Studios) https://www.instagram.com/p/CRoGMWLnAZK/?utm_medium=tumblr
