Yong-An Harbour (永安漁港) on the west coast of Taoyuan has become one of those popular go-to places for Taiwanese families on weekends where they can play in the sand, bike down the coast and eat some really great seafood all in one day. The beach area had been referred to pejoratively as "garbage beach" in the past by expats but it is pretty clean these days, full of visitors on weekends and one of the best places to get fresh seafood straight from the ocean!
