Worthless. Despicable. Absolutely meaningless, and yet they walked around as if they were the highest beings to ever live. Inael merely scoffed at humans as they sauntered around with their heads held high and their hearts full of unrighteous glory, but it all changed for the better when angels were sent to the Earth some hundred years earlier, and now it seemed as though they feared them in all of their right, as it should be. Inael was a dominion who walked with his wings held proudly and his halo bright above his head, an expression of pure stoicness painted over high cheekbones and thin lips, complete with dark eyes that showed no mercy.
As he passed by humans that dared not look him in the eye , lest they feel the wrath of one of heaven’s highest powers come upon them, Inael’s expression remained as blank as the day he was manifested, and he paused mid step in the sidewalk as an old shop caught his eye that hadn’t been there before, or perhaps he hadn’t seen it. The moon was high in the sky today, and he figured why not? Either way, narrowing his eyes in what was supposedly an expression of curiosity, he entered the small store and received a hurried bow from the owner, telling him to have a look around and ask if he needed any assistance.
Merely huffing under his breath, Inael set his jaw and looked around the store for a few moments before something caught his eye; upon a small stand, a small, golden necklace sat, embellished with tiny indentations and a small ruby seated in the middle, hanging freely in the air. A hand reached out and touched it just as soon as his own did, and he looked up to find a human he hadn’t noticed standing there, obviously looking at the same item. A strange feeling overcame Inael, but he chose to ignore it in favour of blatantly staring the other in the eyes.
“I really don’t think you want to do that.”
