Scenario: You come home tired, not expecting anyone to be home. You miss him but he is half way across the world. He is still on tour. One week more, you think, one week more and you get to see his gummy smile again. You turn the corner and see your kitchen light open.

“Oh! You’re early! I’ll be done in a minute!”

You were too stunned to say anything, just standing dumbly by the door. He walks over to you, flashing his warm smile after wiping his hands on his apron.

“Go freshen up. Dinner will be ready.” He gives you a peck on the cheek. “Feels great to be home.”
