The bond wasn't instant. Unfortunately, humans did not usually pick up the subject of their affections upon the first meeting. Nor did they scream out their declarations of love for all to hear. It was that first meeting that caused their relationship to have a rocky start, and it was that first meeting that allowed for a relationship to develop.

Although Yoongi had not fallen in love the same way that Shrek had, he was not one to judge based upon appearance, and had accepted Shrek's request for a date. It was a week later that they went out for the first time, out to the swamp to roll in mud and do other things that Shrek enjoyed.

Their second date was a week later, walking around the town late at night and seeing the sights that Yoongi loved most. Shrek had held Yoongi's small hand in his own as they walked down the cobblestone streets. The night seemed to pass to quickly, and before they knew it, they had to part ways.

Things developed more quickly after that. Yoongi had convicted Shrek to move to the town, as Yoongi had work there that he could not leave. Shrek was willing to do anything for the love of his life. He moved into Yoongi's small apartment. Adjusting to the town was difficult, but Shrek made it work. As he adapted to their mannerisms, the townspeople seemed to do the same. They had reached a mutual understanding of each other, and days were peaceful.

Shrek saw how hard Yoongi worked. He spent hours at the blacksmiths, crafting different tools out of metal. Shrek decided that he would take up a job as well, and soon after he became an actor at the local theatre.  The play was not as high as Shrek had liked, but it was something. Shrek tried to save as much as possible from every paycheck, keeping the money in an onion. Those savings would go towards their future together. A larger house closer to the swamp. Prehaps a castle.

Anything was possible in Shrek's optimistic mind. But then things changed. Slowly, Yoongi fell out of his grasp. Their love seemed to vanish, and the two seemed to be more like friends than lovers. Then, Yoongi broke the news. There was another at the blacksmiths shop. A hard worker, a bear by the name of Kumamon. He had captured the heart of Yoongi, and the feelings were mutual. Yoongi left Shrek alone in what was on their apartment. He hadn't looked back.

Min Yoongi was the moon, the stars, and everything in-between. His hair was the deepest black of the night skies, his eyes a beautiful dark brown that were filled with stars. It was as if someone had created him from the night, for he was that beautiful. Shrek had fallen for him hard, head over onions, and there was no way out.

It was back when he was in his youth that Shrek had met the human. Back when he was 228, when he was young and love seemed to be plausible for an orge like him. He has just saved the princess of Car Far Away, and had been happy with her. But then, one day in the market, Shrek saw him.

Shrek often recalled a time in his life that he wished would continue on forever. The years back when he wished that time would stop so that he could cerish those moments longer. The time when Yoongi was in his life.
