As an exercise of design skills (for fears of it would have been gone just when I needed it the most), I redesigned my old system map of UP Mindanao. This map is updated for the Academic Year 2015-2016.
For this, I added a ton of useful information into the map:
location and road names as station and lines, respectively
topographic details, transportation links and terminals
"secondary lines" in Admin, Kanluran, and EBL Dorm
parking space and medical/first aid markers
and a separate line for pedestrian traffic.
All of these were absent from the earlier study. In addition, I've included both the CHSS Cultural Complex and DC-UP Sports Complex in the map, as these structures are being constructed at the present academic year.
Design-wise, I used a cleaner, more legible typeface, and a brighter colour palette that is colorblind-safe, used alongside standard UP graphics and colours as recommended in the UP Brand Book 2007.
Total production time from draft until export is around 15 hours; the long production time is because a transit map needs the OCD or OCDs for it to become useful, let alone meaningful, for its users.
I might make a proper transit map of UPMin soon, that of the UP Ikot network, but since I already forgot the route the Ikot passes through, and since it will include the vicinities of Mintal and Sitio Basak, I would need some help with this one.
This work is my freebie for the freshies of this AY, as well as to the upclass and alumni. You can download a copy at http://cl.ly/image/391e2g3c0Q1w.
Program used is Adobe Illustrator CS6. All graphics were hand-made sans the university logo.

UP Naming Mahal: The song that every Iskolar knows by heart, mind, and spirit.
Also, this is a special graduation gift to all graduating Iskos and Iskas everywhere. And please try not to get too emotional when singing this come Graduation Day. Trust me, it does no good to your pomp (been there done that and yes, made me look like a fish out of water).

Isang Libong Alumni Para Kay Oble: The Oblation Plaza Construction 28 February 2015
Alumni from all UP campuses were present in UP Mindanao, Mintal, Davao City on February 28, Saturday to help in the beautification of the UP Mindanao Oblation Plaza. The event, titled “Isang Libong Alumni Para Kay Oble”, is a bayanihan project led by the UP Alumni Association-Davao Chapter to improve the Oblation Plaza. It is also the culminating event of UP Mindanao's 20th Anniversary Celebration.
Alumni, their families and friends were invited to contribute “sweat equity” by putting stones in the inner circle of the Plaza in the morning, help in the planting and landscaping in the afternoon, and join the lighting of the Oblation statue in the evening. Present also were the UP Mindanao administration, staff, faculty, and students, as well as friends of UP Mindanao.
The UPAA-Davao officers expressed their hopes that the goal of having 1,000 alumni in attendance will be realized, in keeping with the spirit of “One UP” as espoused by UP President Alfredo Pascual.
