I know young guys who have built a strong foundation for bodybuilding using steroids and I know more guys who have fucked themselves up irreparably using steroids. Maybe objective and completely textbook accurate, but I still think the answer to your last ask on the overall risk of anabolic steroid use was reductive. Im pretty sure you have a fairly impressionable following and I think you owe them better tbh.

I think this is fair. I was not trying to be reductive about their side effects, so I apologize if it came off that way. I was more specifically answering the question about those three cosmetic side-effects, and I should have expanded on the bottom about the more serious and dangerous side effects they can cause. I wanted to sort of bring the conversation to that because I think a lot of people contemplating using the stuff only really focus on the aesthetic “dangers” like gyno or “roid gut” when the actual dangers are more internal, like high blood pressure, cholesterol, and so on. There are definitely side effects and I think reading it back I feel I should have pointed out that the side effects are progressively worse the higher dose or AAS use, which most high end bodybuilders are on ASTRONOMICAL amounts and in general any use of AAS will involve what is technically a high dose, even for more “amateur use,” so the effects will still be there in droves. It should also be noted that the specific side effects also depend quite a bit on the specific drug use. They all share some universal side effects, but effects of things like Nandrolone Decanoate and, say Trenbolone, would not be exactly the same.
