Hana was aware that what scared Minjoon was not her ability at the game they were playing, but her over-the-top reaction, but she had fun trying to rile him up with some good-natured TRASHTALK.

“i didn’t know vampires tutored in hagwons.” it’s blunt, but lacks any hostility. he’s leaning against the wall near the door she’s just exited, eyes on his phone and seeming for all the world like he hasn’t just said something intended to catch her off guard. minjoon DOESN'T like to get involved in this sort of thing, but when there's a potential of kids being in danger... he feels some obligation. "i guess it makes sense, though. if they've been around for centuries, surely they have a lot of knowledge; why not share it?”

✧･ﾟ: *✧･ﾟ:* Surprise etches across a previously relaxed countenance, emotions obvious upon the features of the woman who stands so close to a man who has discovered her ultimate secret. She has guarded such a thing for centuries, running from those who suspected her of anything suspicious. Juyeon had never been one to cause scenes - never the type of vampire to yearn for attention. She merely wished to live a normal life, one where she could help others and in turn help herself. At the bottom of it all, there was some desire to return to her old life near the sea- in the arms of a lover she did not appreciate during those times. Such things were priceless actions that were only valued more with every year that passed.

She offers in some feeble attempt to lead him away from her scent, a small smile setting on her lips as she flashes him a look of confusion. AT THIS POINT the evening has wound down ; most of the crew has staggered off below decks, those that remain being flynn - who has the first watch of the night - & minjoon, who the captain would’ve expected to retire HOURS ago, given the crew’d spent the last little while belting shanties out to the open sea--- but flynn doesn’t mind the company, standing at the helm & looking over towards the newest crewmate.  a comfortable QUIET has befallen the decks, yet the captain means to break it ;

                                    “ i’d say it seems you’ve found your SEA LEGS, mate. ”

HE’S TUGGING AT THE SLEEVES of his shirt as he steps below deck, pulling the fabric from where it’d got bunched within his coat ; he’s still busied in this action as he navigates for the kitchen, pausing only in the entryway when met with the sight of MINJOON & the cast-iron bowl of leftover CHILI---whatever remains is up-for-grabs, a fact for which newest crewmate seems eager to take advantage of. 

for half a moment flynn just BLINKS, before his brows furrow.

BACKTRACKING, the captain takes strides back towards the stairs, gripping at the railing as his whole body TIPS in the action of leaning forward to call upwards to deck ;

                                                    “ noel ! get down here ! i’ll bet you forty silver                                                         joon can eat this pot of leftover chili !”

there’s a vague gesture to the boy that means to signify his demeanor as a whole ; though in all honesty, such has come to be EXPECTED---an excellent story-teller flynn may be, if he’s granted opportunity to brag, SOME people have a hard time BELIEVING his recount of the time fairwind & co. found adversaries in necromantic yaungol --- he doesn’t know at which point he lost minjoon, if it was at the ghost dragons or the giant fire skeletons, but he’s got a nasty scrape from when he went against such foes that could PROVE his claim --- well, it’s mostly all healed up now, but it HAD been nasty ;

you can't fool this motherfucker for a single moment. he'll sniff you out in a cold second and he'll have your ass figured out before you'll know it. and you won't know that he knows it. virote's intution is strong. terrifyingly so. and i guess that comes with his power, but even without being a supernatural being he could be a regular-degular human and you still wouldn't be able to slide by him on some bullshit. he be knowin. he knows vibes and he knows what folks are about. he's got a sharp, critical, analyzing eye. and if he can't pick you apart by just observation, he'll be sure to pick you apart with really, really subtle questioning.

he’s the son of a successful businessman. him having laser focus on other people and what theyre about is in his dna.

also, with working in mental health, it’s just... he’s trained to be intuitive. being intuitive is part of who he is. he’s never paranoid. can’t be paranoid if youre right about other people.
