Another thought, sometimes a fic is so aggressively American... For characters who are not American... And it completely takes me out of the fic...

What I really love about Laios is how he gains weight when he's happier.

He's underweight when he's severely depressed and lonely, but as he makes more friends and finds a support system of people who care about him, he gains weight.

Of course the fact he's basically cursed with eternal hunger by the end also contributes him to overeating.

I love how Laios is just naturally fat. In canon, when he's thin, he's either too depressed or too physically active to gain weight, but once he's happy and surrounded by people and doesn't have to physically work his ass off in the dungeon he starts gaining weight. I guess it also helps he's cursed with eternally being hungry post-canon hehe

And he seems like a guy who has a lot of kinks. Obviously he's a furry. But I also see him being into fat guys, in which case he'd definitely be a fat fur. Personally I see him as asexual but he's really into gaining weight, and he gets really scientific and meticulous about it and tests how different foods interact with his body, and measures his body shapes as they change.

I love him so much...

I love fic authors who can post like 3-5k word stories/chapters every day. When I try that it becomes an incoherent mess. I wish I could write at all...

I felt weirdly encouraged to use my AO3 invite after writing chapter 1 of my Alex/Sam fic because I had so much fun, and then I crashed into a ditch.

Putting your fetish into world building is actually so much fun!!

I'm definitely going to work on something where being fat in Stardew Valley is the norm and all society is built around extreme obesity.

And Sam is transported there by magic means (details to be decided), but I kinda like him still being skinny. For one he'll quickly gain to be as fat as others and I love extreme weight gain starting from skinny,

but also as contrast and a reminder he came from the "normal" world.

(Honestly canon sdv is the abnormal one for being so skinny if you ask me!!)

And people (Kent) will look at him shocked "Son are you sick?! Why are you so thin!"

His boyfriend Sebastian (one of the most successful fat guys by virtue of sitting behind his desk all day) teaches him how to get fatter quickly and efficiently and Sam balloons so fast hehe
