Sand Mountain

As my body floats face down, the salt water is both quiet and full of grace. "Be still, let me move you." There is some things in this life that you can't capture in photograph. My muse has a billion pictures, but when she fills your lungs and pulls you through her current, at that point you know that life is something you won't ever escape and the only control you have is to hold onto that precious heart of yours. That way you may share it with the muse you so desire. So I close my eyes and let her take me. So I hold on to the love we manifested some years ago. Another life, another time. Reflect

There lays a blurry remark so well played out of context, that all the girls in their dresses and heels eagerly wait. And little by little, I start to fade. I bet you wanted to feel that remark. Almost so much that if my mouth and those words were in separable, your heart would stop. Another year down to the bottom of a wine glass, Another holiday lit up and exhaled through a wooden cigar. My moments reflect in the last few minutes of a now ended era So much I lost with so little I gained. Is it any different if we don't fall asleep? So much I won but only when my evenings cave And little by little, I start to count my dreams Little, I wish I could have been there for you. Do you think in the New Year, your smile will remain? Still like a picture, your scent is engraved. Still, I'm just pissing in the wind to keep light of my emotions. Now that 2013 is over, with its bright lights and balls of fire, Here's to the end and some other beginning, Here's to another time, another era, another friendship, and another victory in our hearts. It's time the only loss we gain is the loss of fear. So, tell the New Year I'll be waiting right here.
