I know you probably get this question all the time but I couldn't find a FAQ so I'm sorry but what hair dye do you use for the pink? c:
Oh, no worries, I don't have an FAQ. And actually this is the first time I've been asked on here, so I hope it's okay if I post it publicly.
Okay, firstly there is a hair dye that gets you a pretty damn perfect pastel pink, which is Pravana Chromasilk Pastels Pretty in Pink. Buuuuuut that's not actually what I use. It's about $10 per tube, I have to use 2-3 tubes every time I redye, and I have to redye about every 3 weeks, so as you can see that could get a little pricey. So I actually use Jerome Russell Punky Colour in Flamingo Pink, and mix in a looot of conditioner to lighten it up. I've been using the same 3.5 oz container since I started dying my hair 2 1/2+ years ago, and I'm not even halfway through, so it's definitely a lot better price-wise. Unfortunately I never measure out the dye and conditioner, so I can't tell you exactly how much to use. But it's something like, however much conditioner you would need to dye your whole head plus 1/4-1/2 tsp of dye. Like I really tiny bit of dye. It's not an exact science, and it fades very quickly so you have to be okay with a fair amount of variation in your hair color.
And of course you have to bleach your hair, like, super platinum blonde to get a good pastel color. I always go to the hair salon for bleaching because I just feel safer having a professional do it.
Okay, hope that was at least somewhat helpful!
