Following on from yesterdays post - you do know why you are feeling the way you do. What you really mean when you say “I don’t know” when someone asks why you are feeling something or what it is you are feeling, is that you don’t want to express it. Maybe it’s because you don’t feel safe enough. Maybe it’s because saying why you are feeling what you are is scary and you are afraid of judgement. Maybe you just don’t want to ask yourself the hard questions because if you do you can’t pretend you don’t know anymore. Whatever the reason may be, trust me when I say you are much better off when you admit that your scared little girl was afraid to be left behind, or you felt rejected, or you felt invisible and unseen and unimportant. And if you give yourself a moment after saying “I don’t know” to listen you will notice a thought pop into your head. That is the moment you realise you might actually know. That’s just one example but there are many more. The next time you go to say ‘I don’t know’ stop yourself and think for a moment. And see what happens in those moments of truth and honesty with yourself. ______________________________________________ #strongwithoutrealising #quoteoftheweek #youdoknow #dontletfearholdyouback #controlyourmind #qotd https://www.instagram.com/p/CXeiua8hgVz/?utm_medium=tumblr
