A summary of Cody and Jessica’s game
I finally finished Jefferson. Riprip sorry if I ruined the beauty and sass of Daveed Diggs for y'all fellow Hamiltrash people.
Jessica said the guilt of sending Ramses home would “kill her”
numbers containing the digit 2
2. Isthere a trope you’ve yet to try your hand at, but really want to?i suddenly can’t think of a single trope in the whole wide world. maybe more kinds of cheesy modern au’s??? like i’ve done a secret dating one and that was SO fun. maybe like a college party trope au fic or something.
25. What do you look for in a beta?i haven’t used betas for fics in years (tho i prob should lbr) but for my original work i get peer reviews. i work best with people who get detailed and are willing to put time in to find nitpicks that they might not have noticed the first time around. whenever peers/professors/whoever rush through my work and just go “great job” i find that heck untrustworthy, so. but yeah why don’t i use betas for my fic what’s up @ me????26. Do you beta yourself? If so, what kind of beta are you?for fic yeah i do beta myself. i’m pretty mean lmao, like i’ll make notes in my google doc that just say “THIS SUCKS!! FIX!!” but i feel like i also let things go too easily sometimes? like i’ll post a fic and then i’ll go back through it the next day and be like shiiiit i could’ve made that better, but when is that not the truth? sometimes there needs to be a line drawn but who tf knows where that is.
29. How do you feel about smut?well i certainly have no problem reading it lmao. writing it takes a while because i’m like “T H I S I S E M B A R R A S S I N G” every half-sentence, but i always wrap it up in eighteen layers of characterization nonsense and plot bc i’m annoying. and by “always” i mean “extremely recently” bc i got requested to write a smutty thing for Christmas that i started working on last night \m/
okay can u explain sex worker au cos im reading through the tag on ur blog but i need some back story
The sex worker AU is @aswuuska beloved Modern AU, her ultimate baby and she has been extremely kind to share it with me. Since then we’ve been going back and forth, sending headcanons and ficlets and stuff and it’s great and sweet and kinky and pinning at its worst.
I’ve gone through my blog and properly tagged all my posts about it so now you can have them in chronological order by clicking right here. ;) Enjoy :3 ♥
You need to tell me all your thoughts and feelings about Hamilton right now
EYYYY yes yes yes
approaching this from an american perspective was difficult because i’m sooo biased to hate anything founding fathers related. unless it’s like. critical to the point of obnoxious dragging. so i was apprehensive, but once i read the background and initial reviews of the show (and especially stuff about the CASTING) i was like ohhh shit. this is my shit
and immediately i mean like in the first bars i was ENGAGED. it’s hard getting into a musical when you don’t have at least a bootleg so if the soundtrack is too predictable i tend to ollie outtie within a few songs. but oh man, the rhythms. i love anachronistic shit and for the diegetic score to be in-your-face modern and to make you THINK about relations to modern politics/america was delightful.
alexander hamilton was already one of the few FF’s i didn’t despise but now i’m so straight up fond hearing all his flaws and quirks fleshed out in a story and yeah it’s a story and they’re taking liberties (american freedom pun intended) but it’s so great. he’s so ridiculous i love these prideful no-chill characters. and then it gets sad in act two but act two is where happiness goes to die in musical theater so i was ready.
the women. the SISTERS. oh gosh. i am so blessed. when she (i’m still working on differing characters bc again i’ve only listened i haven’t SEEN anything but angelica i think??) sang “You want a revolution? I want a revelation/So listen to my declaration.” i fell. to the ground. i’m still on the ground. she threw me on the ground. happy birthday to the ground. i’m not getting up until she tells me it’s okay. i love.
this is becoming too long already hoo boy i’m gonna move onto my feelings on the end.
i was gonna be like “i’m not gonna post spoilers but” and then i remembered that history is a thing that happened. spoiler alert: everyone dies. at some point. it’s inevitable. i’m sorry. memento mori, kids.
so the ending. oh my gosh. it was such a moment of narrative surprise that snuck up on me and haaa. just thinking about it’s getting me okay. brbBRbLRblRBBLRBRR. BLRBLRBRLBRLRBLR. okay i’m good. but when it suddenly shifts and becomes about E L I Z A and HER STORY and this wonderful woman and i’m. gonna blubber a bit. and you realize why the show’s called hamilton instead of alexander hamilton. HAAAA. anyway that was a. fantastic twist of storytelling. i wish i had something more profound to say about this but the tears are still too fresh, so,
[shrek the musical voice] THIIIS IIIIS OUR STORYYYYYYYYY
anyway okay
i’m gonna go relisten eight hundred and fifty seven million more times to form more cohesive thoughts but here’s a start ahhhh
