Let’s talk about young!Gigan (say, 29 years old?) joining the Happy Hungry Bunch

She basically invites herself to the Bunch.  She doesn’t make any kind of formal declaration about her joining the group.  She just kinda appears from the bushes after Shin-ah cuts down the tree Jae-ha was hiding in.

She’s been more like a big sister instead of a mother to Jae-ha ever since his arrival in Awa, so he sometimes he accidentally calls her “nee-chan” and then gETS SUPER EMBARRASSED because that was so uncool of him!!!!  Hak doesn’t let him live it down.

Zeno totally refers to her as “Big Sis” tho

She pretends to be the Bunch’s manager whenever they have to pull off the “traveling entertainers” gambit.  You’d be surprised how much money she can make just by offering to have the group put on a show for someone.

She has a tendency to pick up spiders and bugs and hold them up in front of Kija.  “Immersion therapy” she calls it.  Kija doesn’t find it to be very therapeutic.

Yona cuddles up to her on cold nights.  Jae-ha dies inside everytime he sees it happen because it’s so cute.  His girls are so cute.  (”Your girls?” “Let me have this moment, Hak-kun.”)

Unfortunately, she’s in the whole “show me your face!” boat with Jae-ha against Shin-ah.  But she’s quicker about giving up on her attempts, especially after Yona explains to her why Shin-ah wears the mask.  After that one time Jae-ha got Shin-ah to go maskless for 3 whole seconds, she was a bit entranced & told Shin-ah that he has a very pretty face.

She assists Hak in training Yona with swords.  She’s actually a tougher teacher than Hak is.  He’s both intrigued by her and scared of her after every training session.

I keep thinking about young Gigan joining the Happy Hungry Bunch

I bet, if she was around, Yun would develop this habit to stay at her side a lot & to immediately hide behind her whenever danger appears.  Like, I have this idea that Yun is actually super affectionate with people who don’t annoy him on a regular basis, so he really enjoys being nearby Gigan & accidentally follows her around like a lost puppy sometimes.  Nobody really notices until Gigan herself points it out because Yun’s started taking up her personal space, time to back off, kid.
