Spop headcanon time:

Back in the Horde, Adora used to go out of her way to make sure Catra had enough to eat. If she didn’t, Adora would share whatever she had or refuse to eat herself (like in the scene where they missed dinner). Catra would return the favour by stealing food from the kitchen if neither of them had managed to get to the dining area in time.

Now they’re back together, Adora has returned to this habit: whenever they’re at a party, Adora finds up the food immediately and keeps bringing it to Catra, whether she wants it or not. At first Catra just eats it because she doesn’t want to hold it or interrupt her conversation to tell Adora she doesn’t want it, but after she’s presented with the fourth plateful, she realises Adora isn’t going to stop and has to explain that she’s full. Adora takes this as her cue to eat anything left at the buffet, regardless of whether anyone else at the party wants to eat.

After a few parties, Catra learns to tell Adora exactly how much food she wants on arrival and everyone else learns to set food out at increments throughout the party so everyone gets a chance to eat.

Adora loves Catra! Haha, I’m so sorry Catra, she beat you to it. I didn’t mean to do this but the whole thing just came to me in a flash and I just couldn’t not draw it. :’D

(Just in case it isn’t clear, the only reason I included the word “sister” was so that Adora could DENY it! And I would only ever make Shadow Weaver suggest it, (and only at this point, this one time while her whole dynamic with Catra was still undecided) because she represents the haters. Not that Adora actually understands what she’s saying here, it’s supposed to be subtext, it’s commentary AGAINST the whole homophobic incest narrative, not FOR it!!!!!)
